We all will absolutely notice it as is, at least after the result, if the warrior makes his opposed check, very likely a fight will break out. If he fails the check, per VKAllen's post the rogue is revealing to everyone that he pickpocketed something. 

Mind you, I totally agree that in all likelihood the warrior will fail the opposed roll. But I don't KNOW they will.
