Name: Magnus Shane Age: 1255 Year Turned: 762 Gender: Male Height: 6'1 Weight: 162 lbs Appearance: Personality: Magnus isn't an individual you'd describe as stable in the slightest, no far, far from it. Unless you'd consider a boulder teetering over the edge of a cliff stable, in which case by all means Magnus is the most stable individual you'd ever meet. Otherwise the man is entirely psychotic for the most part. He is intelligent, manipulative, and quite cunning to get what he wants. However, he simple isn't sane. He'd sooner serve you a glass of wine and talk about the weather and the next minute stab you in the throat and drink it from his glass. He's a man who gets what he wants, one way or another. Killing, maiming, torture, extortion, kidnapping, you name it and he's more than likely done it. If all else fails he'll simply burn everything to the ground until he gets what he desires. That said, he's a tactical thinker. He'll usually either form plans on the fly or won't go in at all unless he at-least half asses a strategy against his opponent. It's simply how he's stayed alive long enough to be considered an Elder, and how he intends to stay alive long enough to eventually get his own seat on the Council of the Ancients. History: Magnus once wasn't nearly as mentally unstable as he was now, not in the slightest. In his youth he was actually quite the cheerful young child, having a lot of fun playing with his friends while also wanting to learn more about the world around him. Even at a young age Magnus was a rather critical thinker, being observant of his surroundings and always wondering what mysteries objects held, a better way to use them, or simply better ways to go about his normal day to day life. Even when he was turned at the age of twenty two Magnus retained his sense of reason and logic, at first rejecting his vampirism and starving himself until his body and mind forced him to feed whether he liked it or not. Though, it turned out...he did like it. Not the process, not by far. He simply liked the taste and smell of human blood. From that point on he would kill when he needed to, in secret as most vampires did, always moving from city to city to be sure not to arouse any suspicion and usually leaving his kills to look more like a normal human murder than something caused by a vampire. Magnus if anything was smart, no one ever caught on to his evil doings as far as he was aware, and he was able to live a comfortable and well off lifestyle from money he saved and stole from his kills. Over the years however his mental stability would start to decline as his powers would develop. This would be primarily be due to his telepathy developing, the man able to hear the thoughts of hundreds of people around him uncontrollably. Thankfully later on this would settle down and he would be able to block that portion of his power entirely, only using it when needed. Instead, he developed the ability to mentally project his own thoughts and images to others' minds in order to seamlessly create illusions that seemed almost just like reality. Over the next several hundred years he would hone this ability, though for the most part he focused on intensive training to enhance his top speed as much as he could. This made him somewhat weaker physically than most vampires, but he was generally also faster. His training continued for a while until he felt he was sufficient in his abilities to simply move on to a daily regime than devoting his life to it. Cue the modern era and the recent attacks, Magnus has been cultivating his own small army of vampires in preparation of what will inevitably lead to war. He does all of this whilst living his normal peaceful life in his large home, under the guise of a wealthy investor who merely inherited a large sum of money and played his cards right with no one the wiser. Likes: Getting his way Killing Screams of dying humans Cake Wine Dislikes: Whiny people, they tend to die Dry cake Plans not going correctly People coming up with better ideas than him Fears: Not living long enough to see his master plan of global domination fulfilled. Powers: Standard telepathy with thought and imagery projection. Magnus HAS the capability to read minds however he doesn't do it often. Instead rather than read thoughts, he projects his own. From simple words to full fledged hallucinations of himself speaking to people or other such things. He has to stand still when projecting imagery, leaving him vulnerable. However unless the victim is particularly strong willed then the illusions will very much seem like reality. Magnus has the ability to put strain on his body by controlling his very cells to give him a short burst of speed over what he is already capable of. It's not that much more, but in a pinch it's very useful. Doing so will weaken him if he uses it over an extended period of time, thus he usually only uses it as a form of finisher or to retreat. Finally, Magnus has the ability to break his cells down and form a highly toxic as well as hallucinogenic substance that takes the form of a mist when he breathes. This is deadly at close range and still harmful no matter where you are or how much you inhale, though small quantities at best just lead to mild hallucinations for a brief period of time. Primarily this power is used up close on his opponents when they think they've pinned him and are ready to end his life due to the fact that prolonged use of this ability severely weakens him physically. Gear: Magnus wields a dual set of claws that take the form of iron plated leather gloves. The blades on the claws are made out of a almost indestructible titanium alloy, are serrated, around 7 inches in length, and are retractable when not in use. A simple button push will cause the claws to both extend and retract. Beyond this Magnus simply has a cellphone. Strengths: Extremely agile and dexterous, very much capable of parkour feats. Incredibly crafty, cunning, and a tactical thinker. Able to form plans at a moments notice. Knows when retreating is the best alternative to fighting. Weaknesses: Not as strong as most vampires physically, though it's not an incredible amount it is noticeable and exploitable. At times can be a bit too determined and will actually continue to fight, even when it's clear he might lose. Actually easily provoked if you push him enough. Tends to lose all sense of reason beyond a certain point of injury as well, entering a more berserk like state until his target is dead or he simply cannot fight anymore. Other:
