[@Kazemitsu] As I'm probably more aware of the lore of this thing than Shikaru is, I'll answer this one. Old-time player here, this is a so-manieth reboot of a rather old series of roleplays. Within this universe, Lycans are seen to be exclusively wolf-based, and exist in packs that hunt far from civilisation. They possess a culture separate from that of humans, and often choose not to mingle in the affairs of humans. Due to their isolation it is unknown if there are non-wolf lycans, but such a being would be the exception to the rule. It's often implied throughout the series that Lycans were driven to near extension due to conflict with humans and/or vampires. It is known that Lycans can either be 'turned' from a human or can be naturally birthed by two Lycan parents. It is also known that Lycans can occasionally possess exceptional traits, mutations, which can have various effects such as changing their fur colour, or in very rare cases granting them additional supernatural traits. In general Lycans possess immense speed and strength in Wolf Form, on average they are even stronger than vampires. In addition they possess a slow regeneration factor, allowing them to close wounds in a matter of minutes, heal broken bones in hours, and regrow entire limbs over the course of days. To balance this out, a limited lifespan (approximately human) often provides Lycans with inferior skills and knowledge, as well as a more primitive outlook on society and technology. In a previous roleplay one player played an exceptional Lycan who possessed the power to control plants, and who was worshipped as a deity by other Lycans. Also, half-vampire half-werewolves are usually impossible. Werewolf regen prevents them from being turned, vampire bodies are immune to the lycanthropy virus and even when it works the result is usually twisted and broken, dying soon. Only in rare and exceptional cases can a proper hybrid be created, and these hybrids are always considered with universal disdain by vampires, and general disdain by werewolves, as the two species have no love for each other.
