To anyone who wasn't truly paying attention, it would appear that the pilot was outright ignoring him, but in fact she was listening carefully and already beginning to accommodate for the new information. She prioritized the engines over the shields and did take a rather purposeful hit that caused the ship to jolt. She used the sudden movement to angle the ship rather oddly. 

Telasie narrowed her eyes at the gunners currently facing the merchant, hoping the saw the massive opportunity she gave them to do major damage to the other ship's thrusters. She glanced idly at the Taghai, mostly wanting to see his abilities. Next, she would give the human a clean shot, so that she could gauge their skills and compensate for any inability they may have. Not without snide comment, of course.
