Griffin

"Do you need help Griffin?" Griffin did, indeed, need help as he sat on the floor with the computer strewn out before him. In his haste to find a spot for his potion gear he never stopped and consider how to put the thing back together. The answer to "How hard could it be?" seemed to be pretty hard once you scattered the wires to high hell. So when he answered with a defeated "yeah" Poe wasn't terribly surprised. "You could call the IT team, they would know how to help you." "Yeah, but I don't want to get them involved in something so dumb." "Hmm, well then there's always the Library. The librarian here is very helpful." And so it was decided, he thought to himself as he stood back up and gave his back a stretch. After recentering his sunglasses, slipping on a pair of scuffed up converse, and stuffing a couple of slices of bread in his mouth, Griffin had Poe lead him through the school as she sat on his shoulder like the raddest pirate pet ever. The walk itself was fairly pleasant, Griffin observed his fellow students much more closely and was surprised by the sheer amount of species that he couldn't recognize. Bigger world than he thought. However it was fun seeing the interactions between people, of old friends meeting back up, of people chatting over coffee, and just seeing different people coexist was a breath of fresh air to the chaotic lifestyle he'd left behind for now. Once he entered the library however that pleasant, friendly glow was replaced with something close to awe as the sheer amount of books hit him. The place was quiet and seemed to radiate knowledge like it was a force invading his senses. In all honesty it stunned him for a moment before shaking it off, a giddiness bubbling up to the surface as he began to skim isles. Unfortunately it didn't take much time before Griffin's attention was stolen when he passed by an a row of books dedicated to various herbs, then another much older book about casting spells through magical reagents in potions, and so on and so forth until he had three textbooks, four journals, two manuscripts and a scroll all about the subject and sciences behind the varied world of potions. He was like a kid in a candy store as he carried his findings in two baskets and a scroll carrier, his original mission forgotten as he chatted up Poe about all the things he could learn from official sources.
