I'd just like to confirm something, taking directly from your CS, "her people's evolution has granted her a great deal of resistance to mental intrusion and influence". This doesn't actually say immunity, [i]resistance[/i] could mean anything, I have a resistance to pain that is a lot higher then others but i [i]still[/i] feel pain. 


[@BlackPanther]Cole has an immunity to Barca, utterly and completely, and I hate that I am reverting back to my sadly corrupted teenage years and bring up [i]twilight[/i], but what Blackpanther describes is Bella's immunity to mind reading and mind abilities. I am quite happy with that, and thats my fault for not connecting the dots. 

What you wrote yourself doesn't give her immunity, but a resistance, to telepathy. Therefore, some things could get through, and she'd be aware, I'd think?
