The first time that Korian is confirmed to be fighting against the Saiyans, as is Sayomi. The rebels win, though suffer loses and have to draw back regardless.[/*]
Shu is found by an elderly couple after escaping from a group of hunters. He is nursed back to health and taught to speak in the common tongue. After a short stay he is then sent on his way to East City to compete in the next World Martial Arts tournament.[/*]

The 45th World Martial Arts Tournament begins. Contestants from all over the world compete, but two young boys, Shu and Takeshi, stand out. These two progress all the way to the finals, and after a battle it ends in a draw.[/*]
Reluctantly Takeshi agrees to travel with Shu. The two of them opt to train together, but Shu lacks any Ki training, making it difficult. Their solution is to seek out the Turtle Hermit, Master Roshi, for training.[/*]
The boys find Master Roshi and ask to be trained by him. He agrees, but only on the stipulation that they find him a girlfriend. They agree and go back to the city, fervently searching for someone to meet their teacher's wants. They find a girl that looks to be his type, a fighter named Yumi. With a little convincing she agrees to go back with them. Yumi quickly becomes abashed by her new mentor's crude behavior, but stays to train nonetheless, curious about how Ki works.[/*]
After training for some time together the trio gets a relatively basic understanding of Ki. It's during the second month that they receive their first test of skill in the form of aliens landing on Earth. They travel out to meet the invaders, ready to fight. To Shu and Takeshi's surprise the leader of the force turns out to be another Saiyan by the name of Krom, and accompanying him are two other aliens. A battle ensues, during which Takeshi kills the two subordinates. Shu ends up transforming into his pseudo-Oozaru form, nearly killing Krom in the process. The Saiyan manages to escape, but not before dropping a bombshell on the group; Shu and Takeshi are brothers.[/*]
Knowing they have family now both Shu and Takeshi set out on a search for the Dragonballs to find their mother. With Yumi accompanying them she guides them towards a place that can help; Capsule Corporation. Vegeta Jr, head of the company, is her life long friend and has in his possession a Dragonball Radar.[/*]
Upon reaching Capsule Corporation a sudden explosion rocks the building, and a curious figure emerges from the smoke. Alarmed by the sudden apparent attack, and realizing the culprit has a Dragonball, Takeshi pursues the figure, and Shu and Yumi follow suit. As the chase goes on Takeshi and the man exchange blows, making it all the way out of East City and into the surrounding forests. Here they finally manage to get the man to stop thanks to Vegeta Jr arriving on the scene. It is revealed that the strange man is Viral, a bodyguard of Vegeta's and a friend to Yumi. After a tense conversation Viral is ordered to join the group on their search, and they depart from the city post haste.[/*]
With Viral's help the group manages to find their first Dragonball in the world; Hidden away in a tower high atop a mountain. Here they encounter a warrior named Corgan, a guardian of the Dragonball in his keep. With little option otherwise they fight the man, and are initially stunned by his strength. The fight is rather difficult, and goes poorly for the group at first. Eventually things take bad turn as Shu transforms, assuming his rampaging form and attacking near everyone within reach. Takeshi loses his tail to his sibling before the younger boy is eventually subdued, and the two are laid up in the tower to rest afterwards. A little time is spent recuperating atop the mountain, resting up after their battle before making the trek back down. As the group departs the guardian deems them worthy and responsible enough, handing over his Dragonball.[/*]
Over the course of the next five months the remainder of the Dragonballs are gradually acquired. First the team meets Kamina and his band of fighters in the desert, and after successfully turning back a marauding band of former RRA troops they earn the 3rd Dragonball. The 4th Dragonball is earned inside of the jungle that Shu had formerly lived in, taken from a cursed hut after a malicious spirit was beaten, having overshadowed Viral. The group obtains the 5th Dragonball after a skirmish with more RRA troops, successfully beating them back thanks to Viral's limit break form. The sixth and final one the group would locate was in the possession of Geoffrey, an orangutan Beastman. Before they can obtain it however a change of plans pulls them back to East City. Krom has returned, and he's got the last Dragonball![/*]
A fight breaks out between the group and Krom, who has brought with him two more Elite Saiyans. In the beginning the battle is heavily one sided, and despite their best efforts the Princes, Yumi and Viral can't get the upper hand. When Yumi is injured by the Saiyans though Shu and Takeshi get all the strength they need in the form of anger, quickly overwhelming Krom's subordinates who are then killed by Takeshi. Krom himself is fighting Viral, and manages to win in spite of being wounded himself. Faced with an uphill battle Krom subsequently flees, taking the Beastman with him as a hostage. The remainder of the group quickly goes into action, making way back to Geoffrey to gather the final Dragonball and wish Viral back home. Rather than bring their friend back to Earth however Takeshi opts to send himself and Shu to wherever their friend is, deeming the reason the fight ever happened to be their fault anyways. As it turns out the two brothers end up stepping right into a trap. In spite of saving Viral they are soon faced with overwhelming odds of escape. Not only is Krom still there, but a much more daunting figure is in their way; their father. Unable to even lift a finger in defiance the trio is captured and forced into servitude under Yamate. Viral and Shu will be sent into labs to be subjected to research and Takeshi will be assigned a squad to lead. So long as the older boy cooperates his brother and friend are guaranteed to keep their lives.[/*]

A year passes with the Princes and Viral under Yamate's thumb. Takeshi hasn't seen his brother really in that time, and has managed to forget about Viral. Still seeking a means of escape, albeit halfheartedly, the boys get a break as they're assigned to a singular mission. Their task is to travel to a distant world and put down an uprising, which sounds simple enough. Upon arriving they are faced with relatively little opposition, the local forces hardly being any real problem for them. Success seems certain until another fighter reveals themselves, quickly assuming the role of the militia as he fights the squad on his own. In spite of the difference in numbers the lone warrior more than holds his own, managing to fend off and even beat back the group. Sensing the battle is being lost Shu's collar activates, forcing him to transform. The battle becomes a one on one then, between the twisted Shu and the lone fighter. An errant swipe of the boy's claw tears off the man's cloak, revealing the fighter to be a Saiyan. Knowing his identity has been compromised the Saiyan opts to finish the fight quickly, destroying Shu's collar first and reducing him to his usual self. Seeing an opportunity Takeshi hurriedly gets the battle to come to a pause and offers to defect to the Saiyan's side in exchange for not harming Shu. The Saiyan agrees after learning who the boys are, and while the Princes join Korian the squad is forced to return home under the guise they were beaten and lost the Princes. Shu is then quickly taken into medical attention and the two brothers are introduced to the rebellion.[/*]
Shu's recovery is quick thanks to Uuonian technology, and in a little over a week he is back on his feet. The rebels are quick to utilize their newest fighters, promptly sending the brothers on their first mission to an arid planet called Shaharia. Ordered to free the world from Saiyan control, Shu and Takeshi take a personal shuttle to the planet and immediately find themselves confronted with danger. The local denizens have been subject to Saiyan rule for some time, and there is a detachment of troops currently on the planet gathering more labor. In the right place at the right time the brothers quickly put a stop to the slavers, kicking the proverbial hornets nest in the process. A city-wide battle ensues, as troops from all over pour in to fight the brothers. Shaharians help, and they begin to win back the city. The introduction of a mecha fighting for the Saiyans abruptly creates a power gap, and again the Shaharians and Princes are on the defensive. After reorganizing themselves they spring an attack on the machine, with Shu and Takeshi leading it as the locals fend off troops. Shockingly, the brothers discover the man behind the controls is none other than their friend Viral, put under the influence of the same collar Shu had before. Having to fight to free him Shu and Takeshi go after Viral, and with no small degree of difficulty manage to free him, destroying the collar in the process. Unfortunately the collar's destruction causes unforeseen damage, and the Beastman has to be rushed back to Uuonoe for medical attention.[/*]
Takeshi, Shu and Viral spend a fair amount of time resting in a hospital, recovering from their fight on Shaharia. Viral is introduced to Korian, and with some inhibitions he joins the rebellion as well. After they all heal enough the brothers disembark on a second mission, this time with Viral and Korian in tow. Their task is to travel to Eleo, a world dominated by plateaus and forests, to rescue a stranded rebel squad. Upon arriving there is no trace of the troops, so a search begins. On their search they are confronted by Saiyan troops and forced to fight. The battle isn't terribly difficult, though everyone is surprised by unique weapons being wielded by the troops that are capable of blocking Ki flow. In the midst of the fight Korian goes off on his own, and Shu, Viral and Takeshi manage to win in spite of the turn of events. After some more effort in their search two survivors are found; Ricken and Sasha, two siblings. They are brought back to the ship, but the team cannot leave just yet, Korian as stumbled across the Elite on the planet. With no other option the trio goes to help their leader in combat, surprised to find him having lost to the Elite. Weakened from the battle already the team attacks, and with a bit of teamwork they manage to beat the Saiyan, leaving him to limp back home defeated. Gathering the injured Korian they finally get back to their ship, making haste to Uuonoe once again. The situation at home won't be very much better however.[/*]
Back on Uuonoe chaos is reigning supreme. While away on their mission a Saiyan platoon was sent to the planet with explicit orders to reduce the city to rubble. While Korian himself is still injured and Sasha and Ricken weak it's left to Shu, Viral and Takeshi to help the other rebels. After fending off a few basic soldiers they are confronted by an Elite, a massive man by the name of Leto. He's not particularly powerful, his personality really his strongest suit. Though he manages to wound Viral the Elite is beaten, submitting to the Princes and even opting to join the rebellion. The remaining Saiyan troops are beaten back, and finally the city is secured once more by the rebels. After gathering the remaining rebels together recovery begins by gather the bodies of those fallen and disposing of them, as well as rebuilding. In spite of the battle a celebration is held shortly thereafter, heralding the successful counter attack and now preparing to take the fight to the empire. Shu and Takeshi capture a giant sea creature for food, and they are delighted if not confused that Vegeta suddenly appears on the planet as well. With plenty of food for the event they all head back to the city and help prepare for the celebration. The following day they'll be heading out for the first offensive mission. That night though is going to be spent having fun and relaxing.[/*]
It's finally time for the Rebellion to strike its first blow to the Saiyans, and it'll be a big blow at that. Their target; a communications outpost on a frigid world that connects the empire's outer worlds to the central systems. n the biggest front yet amassed by Korian the rebels group together several ships strong and venture forth to the base. With the intent of having surprise on their side they enter the planet low, attempting to stay beneath radar. Unfortunately they are picked out by a scouting party and two ships are hit, one of which being Viral and Vegeta's. Viral is forced to crash land the ship in a tower, as a result becoming injured in the process. In spite of the wounds he moves on, powering into the base. Meanwhile the bulk of the rebel forces, including Shu and Takeshi, fight through the front entrance. The ensuing battle is fair easy, and in no time the rebels have the front gate and are working their way inside. However, everything is not as good as one might hope. Viral is soon confronted by an Elite, and Yumi. Initially stunned by the encounter he quickly begins to fight, and with a transformation gains an upper hand, slaying the Elite. Shu and Takeshi encounter an Elite of their own in the hangars, and between the two of them they are able to defeat him. Perhaps enraged by Yumi's capture, Viral ends up transforming again later, slaughtering a group of Saiyan soldiers and inciting Korian's fury as a result. In spite of being comrades not moments before Korian demands a trial, which is very one sided, and asks for the execution of the Beastman. The group comes to his aid, with Vegeta having a mixed agenda due to the revelation of his parent's death. After an uneasy moment Yumi finally takes Viral away from Vegeta's wrath, trying to get him to safety. It is here they are confronted by Korian, who is determined to have justice. Making short work of Yumi he is quickly turned on by a transformed Viral, and the two fight. The battle is cut short due to Sayomi and Yumi keeping the men back, and the group is forced to flee from the Rebellion. [/*]
On their own now the group gets their priorities sorted out. Viral's failing health must be addressed, so they go in search of a world that might suit their needs. Knowing the sun helps him they eventually opt for a lush, forested world that seems untouched by the raging war around it. In no short order the elect to land there, and upon doing so stumble into an unforeseen problem. The world is indeed inhabited, by a race of moth-like people known as Kaesstrians, and they are warring among themselves. With the need to have Viral seen to they are eventually forced into a deal with a General Yusef. In exchange for letting them use the hospital in the city Takeshi and Shu are made to help in the war effort any way they can. Reluctant to become involved but knowing it's necessary the brothers agree, and while the rest remain with Viral the Princes make way to their assignment; a home out in the forests. In due time they find the place, and upon inspecting the insides they are ultimately left with nothing of significance to report, save for some odd liquid spread throughout the building. Having done their job the two return to the home being lent to the group, glad to find Viral is back and beginning to heal.[/*]
Still indebted to the General for his help the group is tasked again with looking into enemy activity. Wanting to let the others relax Takeshi keeps the information to himself, opting to take care of it himself. Coincidentally Yumi and Shu decide to go into the forest the very same day, out to play and enjoy themselves. During a race through the trees Shu collides with what he thinks is a log, and both he and Yumi are surprised to find it's one of the Kaesstrians. The alien, whose name is revealed to be T'charrl, tells them he's not from the city, meaning he belongs to the other side of the war. Not ones to turn in a wounded boy the two elect to bring him home, following the native's instructions to get there. The trip ultimately takes them to a large burrow protruding from the ground, guarded by several armed Kaesstrians. After some careful talking Shu and Yumi are permitted inside, being shown into the grand city below the ground. Taken in by the Captain of the Guard L'esta, the two friends are brought to the palace and to the royal practitioner to have T'charrl healed, who turns out to be the Prince of Kaesstra no less. A meeting with the doctor, Renthal, turns into an impromptu meeting with Queen Eslaria as well, and ultimately her husband General Garesh. [/*]
Now savvy to the events around them the group elects to work against General Yusef, agreeing to take him out of power. By the Queen's request they are to do it without violence, meaning they have to find a means of exposing him. Yumi and Shu are still at the palace and are offered a reward from Eslaria for their saving her son, which they take with some reservations. Meanwhile in the forests above Viral is taking a run through to ensure himself he can still do it, but chose a poor time to do so. In the midst of his run he's found by Choi, Kai and Kabocha, quickly overpowered by the three Saiyans. They won't get away with the Beastman in tow however, as trouble soon finds them. First Takeshi confronts them, trying to avoid a battle and get Viral back from his former team. Negotiations fall through when Vegeta appears, instantly attacking the squad over harming his friends. A battle is forced, which is even further then complicated when Yumi and Shu finally make it to the scene. What could have resulted in serious injury or worse is managed to be settled down at last, an an uneasy peace is drawn between everyone. With the obligation to still help the other boys Takeshi elects for them to join the group, much to the chagrin of his friends. Arguing that they'd have more manpower this way everyone agrees, with no small degree of trepidation. Everyone returns to the home to at last collect themselves and figure out a plan of action. [/*]
In order to help out T'charrl and his people the group elects to find a way to root out those responsible for the war. To do so they need information first, and so Shu and Takeshi return to the palace once more to gather anything that might help. Eslaria is all too willing to share, giving them the name of an informant within the city that can point them in the proper direction. A man named Katas, apparently head of a security firm, that's their target. When found in his office in a big building the brothers are a little taken aback by the man's eccentric behavior, to say the least. Regardless, he is very much the man they needed, and after some mucking about he gives the Princes the information they need. Now searching for two people in particular they set out to learn all they can about the war from behind the scenes. The first target is a woman named S'uma, a wealthy supporter of the war. Unfortunately for their sake she is rather clueless as to where her money is going, unknowing as to what precisely she is funding. Their second lead, Ka'shra, a retired general proved to be much more fruitful. Here the brothers discover that it is in fact General Yusef orchestrating the war, the very man they had first met upon arriving. Now they have their man, and they just need a means of bringing him down. For that they'll have to plan a bit more, but the end is surely in sight.[/*]
Knowing that General Yusef is their target it is decided that the Queen must be told before any action is ultimately taken. As such Shu, Viral and Takeshi set out towards the city in hopes of bringing back Eslaria and the others to bring the general to justice. Before they are able to make it however they are attacked by a detachment of the general's elite soldiers, taken by surprise. The resulting ambush manages to do some damage, knocking Shu out cold and grievously injuring Viral. Throwing Takeshi into a fury he blindly strikes out and kills each soldier, only once finished checking on his brother and friend. All is not finished however as a second group shows up, ready to finish what the others had started. After taking some poison darts for Viral the older Saiyan is rendered helpless as well, and the soldiers close in for the kill. In the nick of time Eslaria shows up, tailed by Garesh, Katas and T'charrl. The new arrivals prove to be more than a match for the soldiers, overwhelming them fair quickly and saving the trio. After a brief exchange they are brought back to the home, and subsequently seen to medically courtesy of the Prince. Information is shared, and now the target is known. With the knowledge in mind they sit on it for the time being, trying to recuperate before launching an attack.[/*]
Out of commission for the time being Shu and Takeshi are forced to rest up at their temporary home. The business of bringing the General to justice then falls to T'charrl, Kabocha, Kai and Choi, and quickly the four set out to apprehend the man. After a brief interrogation at the military headquarters they successfully locate the General in a run down portion of the city. Tucked away in the basement of said building is a modernized lab where the General and his supporters have been carrying out tests in secret. Before he can refine his new weapon the team shows up to put a stop to him, and a battle that seems one sided quickly ensues. After injecting himself with the solution however the General begins to gain ground, easily overpowering everyone. Only by absorbing the General's power can T'charrl stop him, at the cost of changing himself. After the General's defeat the trio take him back to the home as T'charrl runs off to the woods to hide, ashamed of what he's become. He is alone until his mother and later Takeshi learn of it, both going out to find him. Takeshi barely stops his friend from harming the Queen after T'charrl had taken on a monstrous form, and once settled down they return back to the house. With the war effectively over and a new slew of problems for the Prince a solution is proposed, one that would be momentous for Kaesstra. T'charrl will join his friends in traveling, learn to use his powers and come back to lead his race united. With that mindset the gradually building team at last departs, finally making their way back home.[/*]
With all of the new additions to the group the small cargo vessel they were given doesn't stack up, a larger craft is needed. Thanks to the recently-turncoat squad there is a solution, an idle Saiyan gunship docked not too far from Kaesstra. Under the guise of returning back with prisoners the team boards the craft, curious to find it utterly empty. Dropping the ruse they begin to explore the ship, looking for any sign of the crew. Vegeta ultimately finds the engineers and cabin crew hidden away in the bridge, and from them learns a curious secret. Letting everyone else know to expect company he and Viral go to the engine room, and there find the mystery creature that had the engineers so worked up. It's like nothing they've seen, as it slides through the floor and walls and seems impervious to Ki. Viral's strength proves to be the key to winning, and his cleaver makes easy work of the monster. With no other souls on board and a crew more than willing to oblige the group absconds with the Saiyan gunboat, continuing their journey back home. Unfortunately for them however a Saiyan ship is fairly noticeable, and it garners attention of a familiar group, the rebels.[/*]
Having run into the newly stolen Saiyan ship Korian has the group land on a nearby planet, agreeing to help disguise their ship to keep them off of the Saiyan's radar. Work begins promptly on remodeling the vessel, and in the mean time Shu, T'charrl and Takeshi travel out across the plains to see what lies beyond them. Through the plains they find a plateau, and after Shu takes a surprise plunge into a den they discover there are natives on this world. Primitive armadillo-like people greet them, and Shu quickly befriends the youngest one. When the child's parents return they learn a startling truth about the world, and of the "god" who eats children. A tearful request is all it takes to convince them to take action, but they're too preoccupied to do it themselves. Takeshi calls back to the ship, asking for someone else to be sent. Yumi offers to go, taking Viral along with her to the mountains. While they search for the supposed god the trio has their own dilemma, two of the creatures they fought on the ship have shown up! It's hardly what anyone would call a fluid battle, but Takeshi and T'charrl manage to beat the creatures and save the child from being taken away. Back in the mountains Viral and Yumi locate a temple, and within it a large beast awaits them. It turns out to be the alleged god, and is not pleased with its visitors. A battle begins, and rather quickly Viral is beaten aside by the powerful foe. Enraged Yumi temporarily loses herself, becoming feral as she attacks the creature and nearly kills it before being hit. A quick bit of teamwork from Viral manages to bring down the temple on the beast, supposedly killing it. Takeshi, T'charrl and Shu return to the ship, grabbing the small craft after some unneeded nonsense and go to retrieve their friends. Upon arriving the large creature is alive, but just barely. The brothers manage to handily defeat it, and with the world effectively saved now they return at last. As parting words are shared with the grateful natives everyone departs again, at last making their way to Earth.[/*]

The group spends a much needed reprieve back on Earth, having a chance to enjoy themselves after much hardship. During their stay they meet Doctor Ikura, one of the minds behind the creation of Viral, and he attempts to alleviate some of the Beastman's troubles. In the midst of the efforts to help Viral, a young Saiyan named Haku is found on Earth, having been left behind after the last attack. Forced into fighting the Princes and T'charrl he attempts to defeat them, quickly being overpowered and beaten however. Work on the Beastman's condition continues and Ikura attempts to relieve some of his emotional problems. Unfortunately for Viral not much progress is made, and after a week the group leaves their home again to continue their travels.[/*]
Having left Earth, the group comes in contact once more with the rebellion. This time around Korian does not request their help directly, but instead asks that they look into finding more soldiers for their cause. Begrudgingly everyone accepts and they move out to their first destination; Shaharia. Their arrival on the desert world introduces a new slew of problems to the group; while Shaharia itself was freed from Saiyan control, Saiyan loyalists remain and are trying to usurp power. At the request of Shaman Servas, Takeshi, Shu and T'charrl journey to a neighboring city where the loyalists are held. Naturally a fight ensues, and in the midst of the chaos T'charrl transforms once more into an almost uncontrollable beast. Remarkably the group manages to win the fight with few injuries and the loyalist leader is brought before Servas to be sentenced. Seeing their work done they leave to their next world.[/*]
Pagonia is the next stop for the group, and it is here on the frozen tundra planet they'll encounter their next challenge. Ruled by chieftains, each clan on the world has its own rules, yet the strongest clan dictates them all in a general sense. Finding the lead chieftain, the group tries to negotiate some kind of deal in hopes of gaining the support Korian needs. The Narbu are reluctant at first, but ultimately agree on the condition that someone can defeat the chieftain in battle. Viral takes the challenge and battles the man, becoming slightly feral in the process. Though no definitive winner is decided the chieftain is satisfied with their strength, and pledges some support to the rebellion.[/*]
The group makes their next stop on the planet of Kaesstra, T'charrl's home world. Though they know it will be a brief visit they enjoy their time on the world, with the crowned Prince getting to reunite with his family for a short time. The kingdom is calming down after insurrection by Garesh, though not everything is well. Needing help in stabilizing her kingdom, and hoping for some help for her son, Eslaria sends T'charrl and friends off to a neighboring kingdom for aid. Here, the King reveals himself to know well of T'charrl's ability, sharing in it himself. The young Prince learns a fair deal of how to work with and even remove the spirit within him, yet there is never a chance to; Viral is attacked by Garesh soldiers back at the ship and the group is forced to leave for Namek to try and get help.[/*]
Having traveled to Namek in search of Dragonballs, the group is quite surprised to find the planet almost empty. Searching for any of the inhabitants they happen upon a crashed ship, whose pilot, a Frost Demon named Kiton, is inside both badly injured and unconscious. In trying to see to the alien, the group is attacked by a group of the monsters from before; turning to mist when killed and seeming to defy laws of nature. Beating back the smaller creatures was easy enough, but to everyone's surprise a new foe shows itself in the form of a massive serpent beast. What begins as an easy battle quickly turns dire when the monster uses a massive energy attack, injuring everyone a great deal and turning the tides in its favor. The only two remaining fighters left are T'charrl and Viral, and the pair begins their attack on the beast. To everyone's shock the former is swallowed while deflecting another massive blast, leaving Viral and his Enki to combat the threat. With a combination of the Kaesstrian striking from inside and the Beastman from out the pair manage to slay the monster, leaving not a trace of it in the wake of their attack. Weary and beaten the group finally manages to find the Namekians, and after having a meeting with the Elder they gain the chance to make their wishes. First the Namekians killed by the monsters are brought back, and finally after almost two decades Aito and June, Vegeta's parents, return to the world of the living. The pair quickly collect themselves and join the group, ecstatic to be back but ready to begin working with Viral. Saying their thanks the group departs, on what some hope to be the last leg of Viral's recovery.[/*]
