His brother took the near encounter as an attack. The last thing wanted was for to start their first year in a public school. But he knew his brother. There would be no convincing his brother that the close encounter had most likely been an accident. Zack was surprised when the fireball landed without causing the damage that he expected at the speed it had been traveling. He was even more surprised when the flames died down and revealed a boy under them. Griffin stormed over to the boy who had nearly crashed to them. School had barely started and someone had already jeopardize Zack's safety. He was going to make it clear that that wasn't something he was going to allow. As he approached the fire boy he noticed two others. He ignored the boy who was cursing and talking about himself. The other free his attention though. He was almost sure it was female. But he had never seen a girl, or being, like her. He arched an eyebrow as he studied her. After a moment he turned his attention to the boy he come for. He grabbed the other by his arm. It was going to be more crowded than she was used to. She was used the Xavier's school. But that one had been combined with this one for the sake of unity. So she was going to have to adapt. That was going to be a challenge but she was determined to do it. She had to be careful until she was able to memorize the lay out of the school. Which from what her dad had told her about the size of the place wasn't going to be easy. The closer Katherin for from the gate the more crowded it got. The could hear snippets of conversation. She was looking forward to meeting new people and learning about their abilities. She had heard so many stories over the years. She wondered who would take the classes she had chosen. Katherin hoped to make a friend the first day. Doing so would reassure her dad that they had made the right choice. But the question was how did she decide who to approach first? From the sounds of it many of the others were already interacting. She didn't want to intrude.
