[@AtomicNut][@MrDidact] Welcome to my world, House Tyrell is relatively broad but try writing ALL of it. There's five main characters I follow around (and that's not properly counting Amber Redwyne in Alerie's service, who I should do a CS for but don't, nor Alys ((youngest sister of Merlin/Ellion/Alerie) who is 13, yet is insignificant as she's just a girl in learning, not crucial to the schemes or ploys of the House)- and that covers pretty much the main branch of the family, the rest don't get covered because they won't add much, or shouldn't need to. The trick is to understand that it's got to have depth alongside breadth- writing detail to understand the inner workings of a house, and why characters in this chaotic, dynamic feedback loop think they way they do, and use what they have to get what they're looking for. Ellion likes to be a general prick, while Willas has the capacity to rule with kindness yet pragmatism that gets shit done. It's giving them depth yet the breadth that weaves them together as characters (see the interactions between Alerie and Ellion for that matter), and giving even just overviews or general development into each character as a cohesive whole is difficult to do. I enjoy it though- I really like playing the Tyrells to be honest, but I do feel like I should venture outside my comfort zone and write up another character at some point who's a bit more edgy/has nothing to lose. I'm going to try to write a solo post today, as I can't collab at all with people (at an event)- something to give Merlin's perspective I feel.
