So, I guess this is the part where I introduce myself. Excuse the lack of flashy fonts or non-standard formats. Not that kind of person, really. Well, let's start with the basics. I've been RPing now for over a decade. I started writing as a hobby before I hit my teens. In general, I'm a pretty straight forward kind of person. Expect conversation if you decide to pursue an RP with me; I try to make friends with my RP partners. As for what you can expect from me as an RPer, I'm a pretty standard advanced level writer. I average three to four paragraphs a post. My grammar and spelling, while not perfect, are generally error free. When possible, I try to reply between once a day to once a week. Like many people, I'll have dead spells, but if that happens I'll let you know. Beyond that, feel free to ask me anything. I'm always open to fielding questions. While I like to think I'm not a zealot, I do have some rules. (Here forward, I'll be making frequent use of hiders.)
-When it comes to writing level, I expect to get similar to what I give. As I've said, I'm an advanced level writer, and that's what I expect of my partner as well. -You'll notice the keyword 'partner' I like to use. I fully expect this to be a two-person venture. Neither of us should ever feel like we're playing storyteller to the other. -It's in the tags, but I'll restate it. NO ONE under 18 years of age. I'm just not interested in doing RPs that can't be explored fully because of an age restriction. -I deal readily and openly with mature themes. That said, I don't want to trade porn of any variety. Including, but not limited to; murder, gore, actual, fetish, or action. In short, anything's welcome (within reason), but I expect nothing to outstay its welcome. -Not a rule, but a good general guide line. I tend to aim for RPs that are going to last for a while, so expect multiple plot arcs going in. -All RPs will be on this website, through PMs.
Now, for the ideas I have ready. These are basic scenarios where I largely know who my character is, have a good idea of the setting, and have a general idea for what role your character fills. That said, I still expect my partners to take that role and really make it their own. I'll do my best to keep this thread up to date with which I'm looking to do and am not doing with anyone.
In the city of Delphere, there are three kinds of people. There are the Majority, the every day people who make ninety-nine percent of the city. They do the common jobs, perform the every day roles, and even perform the petty crimes. These are the every day people. Then, there are the Registereds. Those born with an innate ability to produce, and potentially control, mana. This powerful, and very complicated, form of energy is capable of taking on the properties of every other type of energy, as well as some times of matter. These people use their power to serve the city, and make up point-nine percent of the population. Finally, there are the Unregistereds. Also born with some connection to mana, they are somehow different. Unlike most others, their connection to mana is somehow unique, and because of this was not properly registered at birth. While not innately criminals, they pose a risk to the peaceful daily life of the Majority. Most turn themselves in to become Registereds when they discover their powers. Others, however, don't, and instead choose to use their power to disrupt the peace of Delphere. It was for this reason, the White Wolves were formed. We are an elite group of Registereds, trained to seek out and hunt down those who pose the greatest risk to our city. I am an Inspector Draven, a veteran of ten years of service with the Wolves. You are my apprentice, entirely new to the unite, having been registered within only the past year.

You summoned me from the depths of a void you did not know existed. What I am, you can not be sure. My true intentions are a mystery that I refuse to make clear. I claim to be bound to you, but seem to exercise my freedom at my leisure. There are only two things you know for certain. First, you are not the only person who has brought something like me under their 'control.' Second, and most importantly, you know that you have been caught up in the race to become the only person of your kind in the world, whether you want to be or not. It is the modern day, and life was fairly simple for you. In fact, it was almost dull, it was so normal. Then, you received a summons to the reading of a will for a late great uncle you never knew you had. Among a list of things including a small, furnished summer home in southern Alaska, enough money to live comfortably on for the rest of your life, and miscellaneous curios, there was also mention of a very specific book. Upon opening the book, you entered into a 'contract' which bound us together. You are my master, but I am not a willing servant. The book used to summon me contains instructions to command me, but each chapter is written in a different, dead language, that you will have to translate if you hope to ever master my power.

You are a traveler, headed to your home village, far to the north. Taken from your home as a child, you have finally managed to secure what you need to return to your family. The problem? Your childhood home lay far beyond the borders of the kingdom you're currently in. No human has ever ventured farther than the edge of the woods that make up the kingdom's most northern border, but you need to travel over the mountain range that starts at that very border. I have offered to guide you, but you have your doubts. Little is known about my people, though. Only that we are untouched by the magic that exists within this world, and that we are known as one of the more barbaric tribes of beastmen.
Lastly, settings; Most of you are probably expecting pairings here, or even fandoms. Well, that's not how I do things. What follows is a list of pre-existing settings that I enjoy and am willing to use as a foundation for creating original characters and a plot for them. Again, I will do my best to keep this list up to date. -Warhammer 40,000 -Golarion (Pathfinder) -Shadowrun -Avatar: The Last Airbender (either time frame) -World of Darkness Please note, I mention these only as the basis for original plots. I use them as a useful short hand for settings that already exist, not to be used in any relation to the settings own main story lines and/or main characters. I am also always open to hearing original ideas. However, please know that I expect the freedom to create my own half of the story, not just my own character. Just like I don't want to feel like I'm telling my partner a story, I don't want to feel like I'm having a story told to me. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading, and I hope to hear from you soon!
