Full Name: Hayate Yoshi Nicknames/Aliases: Kamikaze Age: 31 Gender: Male Gift: Hayate has the ability to manipulate the very air around him to act either as a weapon or a shield. He can send foes flying or pull them towards him with powerful gusts of wind. He can also increase the amount of oxygen his brain receives, increasing his ability to regenerate and replenish energy and stamina. Hayate can propel himself at high speeds, can fly in mid-air or float gently to the ground. His most devastating ability is creating miniature tornados, but this requires an immense amount of concentration and energy to achieve. He can also deprive his opponents of oxygen but he has to be within a meter and still requires a lot of concentration to do so. Loyalty: Would give his life for Erubesco Description: Hayate stands at a solid 6 feet with a very muscular and well toned body due to years of intense training and fighting. He has a somewhat large and cleanly shaven forehead, his jet black hair tied into a long ponytail to symbolize his loyalty to his nation. His nose and chin are pointy, his face has a small straight mustache and a small stubble on his chin. His eyes are a deep blue, like the ocean, and beneath his left eye is a small c-shaped scar left from a great battle. Hayate is very pragmatic and simple when it comes to his clothing. He is rarely seen without wearing some form of kimono, usually his black one with a white undershirt, but he does have a kimono for every color of the rainbow and for every season. He loves kimonos because they provide comfort and modesty without sacrificing flexibility. On the occasions that he is not wearing a kimono or some sort of uniform, he prefers dressing lightly, favoring loose clothing. When doing hard labour, he wears cargo pants or shorts with a tank top. Personality: Hayate is stoic and soft spoken, preferring actions to words for getting his point across, though when he does speak, he says what he means for his word is his bond. While he is slow to trust others, he genuinely does care for other people's well-being and he would fight to the death to protect anyone whom he regards as a friend. Hayate views himself as a warrior through-and-through, and above all else a man of integrity, conviction and honor. He shows a deep and grateful kindness and respect for his allies and friends and would go out of his way to protect the weak. When in combat against an enemy, he would not hesitate to cut them down, fighting savagely and without mercy. If the world is to ruled by the sword, Hayate would want his sword to smite the vengeful and spare the merciful. Skills: Hayate through rigorous mental discipline and meditation has managed to control his gift to a very fine degree, such as filtering the air of impurities or controlling the oxygen levels in small pools and ponds. Regardless of his control over his gift, he knows he must give everything he has, mind body and spirit in battle and must never rely solely on his gift. While he does know how to use a number of firearms, he isn't the best shot and much rather prefers getting into close quarters combat with his enemy and uses his wind powers to do just that. He is trained in various forms of martial arts and is skilled in disarming his opponents and knocking them of balance. His favorite and signature weapon though, and one he has learned to use with terrifying efficiency with is the katana. He will carry firearms into battle but when the chips are down, he will always use his beloved razor sharp titanium katana. He can also use wakizashis or shortswords when he is without his trusty katana. Hayate dons samurai armor made from titanium plates and held together by tough fibers. It provides him great protection while still offering great mobility for him. Weaknesses: Hayate is willing to put others, even his own subordinates before his own well-being. While he does not believe this to be a weakness, it can result in him abandoning his initial goals to prioritize someone else's safety. Hayate’s personal katana is his pride and joy, and if separated from it he will go through tremendous and even deadly risks to get it back. His honor and pride mean more to him than his own life, and he takes great offense to anyone that accuses him of being dishonorable. He is proud of his fighting prowess and will rarely turn down a challenge or a duel, regardless if he can actually win. His fighting style prioritizes speed and precision as opposed to brute strength, putting him at a disadvantage against opponents with strong physical strength or endurance. While he can reach high speeds with his wind throttle, but he can’t steer very much when he uses it, putting him at risk at slamming into something with great force. For this reason, he usually needs a straight, clear shot to maximize it’s effectiveness. While it does not take too much effort to fly, he does risk plummeting if he gets hit hard while in the air. Brief History: Hayate was born the eldest child of an honorable knight who taught him to value life and the virtues of the unspoken bushido code of the samurai of old. From an early age he became enamored with the way of the warrior and anything worth loving was worth protecting. While he considered himself fortunate to have been born in a military high class family, he never looked down upon anyone from a lower class, because he knew that despite possessing far less than him, they still worked tirelessly to achieve their dream. This inspired Hayate to reach his dream, to one day become a great benevolent ruler, one who would use his power to serve his people rather than the other way around. After all, a king would be nothing without his subjects, for it is they who granted the king his power in the first place. Therefore a king cannot command respect from his people unless he had earned it, and that is the man Hayate desires to become, no matter the cost. Other: Hayate has a younger sister named Sakura who serves in the infantry. He was given the nickname Kamikaze by his infantry men because of his fiery passion in combat and the sheer tenacity of his attacks were “like a roaring tempest”.
