Especially considering the only seasons in the house were salt and pepper. She wouldn't tell the woman what to make. It wasn't her place to order the other around. 

Hopefully Jess wasn't too disappointed in what she had to offer. It wasn't much. She didn't keep much food in the house. There seemed to be little point. But there were some cans of soup and crackers. She had cereal and pop tarts. Lots of sugary stuff. There was plenty of soda. There might be a frozen dinner of two.
