While true that witches typically preferred to stay out of sight, Eudora couldn't help but to grin as the ones around her gawked at her achievement. Even the most unsocial of people adored a few minutes in the limelight. [color=8040bf]"Oh I didn't do much, I assure you,"[/color] she chuckled, voice dripping with faux modesty, [color=8040bf]"It was just a quick jab, but back on topic."[/color] she cleared her throat and motioned back at the wardrobe. [color=8040bf]"The end point does indeed seem to be random, but it did bring all of us together, no? Your suspicions do indeed hold water, Andromeda. Perhaps someone is pulling the strings, I only hope they're on our side."[/color]

Eudora was suddenly taken aback by that small murmur in her head. As a witch, she didn't acknowledge coincidences, everything had a meaning, a message to tell her, an omen. But at the same time, there was a non-magical world out there. Not everything had to have some fantastical explanation. Sometimes things just happen because that's how they just happen. When a fire engulfs a tree, is that a sign or fire just doing what fire does? Eudora didn't know what was sparking this scepticism, this sudden distrust of the universe, whatever the cause of it, Eudora was sure she didn't like it. She hadn't changed her mind in decades and it always worked just fine for her, why change now?
 
Her train of thought was suddenly derailed by Andromeda's suggestion of all of them just jumping in together. Eudora immediately latched onto the idea, eager for a distraction to quiet her mind. 
 
[color=8040bf]"Splendid idea!"[/color] She proclaimed as she suddenly took hold of Fairfax's arm, [color=8040bf]"Quickly now, we haven't much time, grab someone."[/color] she said while banging open the door to the portal, staring into its infinite twisting abyss. She turned to look at the others, [color=8040bf]"I fear if we wait any longer, we'll get cold feet. Close your eyes and jump!"[/color]
 
And jump Eudora did.
