[@Member 00492] A big work in progress for now, it's pretty late over here. I dropped the Invisible Man idea in favor of a less traditional type of hero.

Name Griffin Howley Alias Trouble Age 20 Personality Determined, Vengeful, Impatient, Destructive, Totally Bonkers Archetype Gadgeteer/Supernatural Powers Mad Science: Griffin has a very specific brand of insanity that grants him certain... benefits. Namely he breaks the laws of physics to fit into what he believes is "science". This allows him to build things that don't exist, like making a gun out of scrap metal and nondescript glowing fluid that fires solid beams of lightning or harvesting phlogiston for use in beam weaponry. Weaknesses Crippling Overspecialization: Griffin can only make tools of war, no ifs ands or buts about it. He can make any weapon under the Sun and beyond but if you ask for a calculator you're more likely to get a swiss army knife of Ouch. Lack of Subtlety: A fairly large understatement. Griffin is a fairly bombastic and hammy character by nature, a fact that trickles down into his creations. Beam weapons crackle and hum with power, war rigs belch out flames and smoke as they shudder down a track, and more often than not a sword will have a chainsaw for a blade. Quiet is anathema to Griffin. "What Does This Do?": Anyone who isn't Griffin that tries to use his equipment will find that it either doesn't work or will explode violently, depending on what's in it. Technobabble: Whenever Griffin starts talking about his "Science" one thing becomes abundantly clear, that he is hopelessly insane. He can never convey his thoughts to others, his words becoming undecipherable to normal people and just plain nonsense to any other real scientist. "Still Flesh and Blood... For Now.": While in excellent shape Griffin is still just a normal man and besides an immunity to several of his own substances he is just as vulnerable as one. Appearance Griffin is a physically fit young man, standing at an even 6'0 and hovering around 180 lbs of lean muscle. He's always tense and twitchy, his skin seemingly pulled tight over his muscles as he fidgets with something or another. If you're lucky enough to catch him without his gas mask you'll find a fairly plain looking man, a strong jaw and a roman nose but fairly unremarkable. There is a block of zeros and ones tattooed over his heart, reading "Total War" in binary script. Character Evolution Since Griffin is a character I've adapted from a board game I'm going to follow it's rules when it comes to him. As it stands Griffin is at his most stable now, but as his power grows so will his madness. To prevent him from being swallowed completely by his mania he needs to refine his world views which will end in one of two ways. If he has no positive influences he will become a vengeful Knight Templar, dispensing his very deadly form of justice. Alternatively he can become a more traditional, if somewhat cooky, hero scientist. We'll just have to see. BRIEF Bio Notes Griffin is based off of "Genius: The Transgression", a fan work based off of the "New World of Darkness" Sample Post
