"Right," Fendros said. Listening while concentrating on the ward put a determined look on his face. The additional seconds of apparent inaction did not indicate that he had been fully listening. Either that or he simply did not know how to do what Meesei asked. "The flames are getting pushed," Sabine spoke over the roar of Meesei's spell. "Try to feel for what is pushing them first." Fendros grit his teeth. His ward shimmered and faltered in places. "I can't..." He scrunched his eyes shut as his ward sputtered to nothing. Some of the fire licked at his arm without effect against his Dunmer skin, but he jumped out of the stream all the same. He looked into his palm and tried to cast the ward again. Only flashes and false starts were produced. "I can feel the magicka in it. I don't know how to let it through my ward without lowering it." "Here. Wait." Sabine stepped forward with a yellow spell glowing in her palm. She placed her hand on Fendros' shoulder and waited as magicka flowed directly from her to him. "You need to filter the magic out like Meesei says." Sabine gave Meesei a glance during the process. This would be the first of many times this lesson that Fendros' magicka would be replenished.
