You look far more Muran than any other Machina, don't you?  So if Norman says you're working properly, and you have feelings, then that must be right.  Norman said it was unusual, but not that you shouldn't.  Just because other Machina don't doesn't mean a Machina can't.  You can.  So how do you know you're not supposed to be like this?"

It seemed perfectly reasonable to her.  But the Machina was very reasoned.  The girl knew she needed more than just intuition to help him accept it.  She hoped he would.  Amuné was certain he wasn't just some old machine.  "You don't have to be the same as me to be a person.  I mean, look at other people.  Nymira's nothing like Ethan.  She's not even Muran!  She has a tail.  And scales!  But she's a person.  So're the Divined, and Ydra like me and my Daddy.  And there's people that say Wyth isn't a person, that he's just a dumb beast because he's furry and walks on all fours, and there /are/ wildcats that look a bit like him, but they're not nearly so clever.  I think of him as a person.  He's certainly family, and I love him and I know he loves me."  She demonstrated by giving the giant cat a vigorous headscratch, and he responded with a brief rumble of a purr, butting his head against her side.  Amuné stumbled a little, using Cecil to find her balance again as she chuckled.  "Wyyyth!  Careful, you'll knock me over!"

She turned her attention back to the Machina.  "So if Wyth doesn't count as a person, you don't even need to be a person to have feelings.  You're a thinking, feeling person and I'm going to treat you like it because that's the right thing to do!"  A stubborn frown creased her forehead.  "Everyone gets in trouble sometimes.  But you're my friend, and that means I stick by you anyhow.  Just like you've done for me."[/color]
