Howdy! Have you seen the anime Oh My Goddess? I've been keen to do a similar story, in which the male lead inadvertently contracts with a powerful and lovable young woman to live with her for the rest of his life.
Do you have any interest in a more platonic story idea? there could definitely still be light romance, if the winds blew that way, but it wouldn't be the premise. Maybe something involving travel, or exploration? i am so sorry for saying "i'd be up for almost anything" and then stepping back on my word like this. I thought i would be - honest! - but for some reason it didn't occur to me that that would include romance... I just wasn't thinking. if there's a less 'dovey' story idea you have in mind, i would really appreciate it. Romance is... well, i have some hang-ups about romance.
i must admit that i have never watched or read Oh! My Goddess, though i have heard of it. The premise never appealed to me - it seemed to lack conflict. predominantly romantic stories - especially ones without inherent, driving conflict - have never been my strong point. Ok, actually, romance terrifies me...it's something i've actively avoided in my own life, and i just don't have a lot of experience in it. The characters i've played up to this point tended to be grotesques - selfish, abrasive, or just insecure and emotionally guarded, usually with a slightly off-putting physical appearance or first impression. As an aside, I do tend to play girls, but, well, if they do have a love interest, it's usually unrequited feelings towards another girl. (I'm still totally willing to play mxm or fxm relationships, for the record - though fxm does make me nervous) Stories of unrequited love, troubled or former relationships, or a buried romantic undercurrent between rivals or enemies are a little easier for me to swallow in terms of romance, if i'll be honest.
i just want to say that i appreciate you taking the time to reply and pose a plot idea. Thanks for being patient with me.
