Yeah, I intend to make his father one of those in Italy (he died of course), and he had been taught Russian ever since he entered school (I still remember Russian being a common second language to be taught when the Russian influence was still strong, until English came). He is one of the resistance member against the Japanese in 1942. (Assuming the French kicked them out soon) After the operation, he volunteered to be transferred to the Russian front due to no surviving family.
