Within few years time, half of the planets magnificent jungles had been peeled off to make way for industry
of harvesting rubylight, wonderous resource found only on a handful of planets throughout the galaxy.

Their claim on the planet however was contested from the very start...

The [Drakkar empire], believing all rubylight belonging to them by might, assaulted the isolated planet with both
ground forces and automated mech legions.
As their ulterior support forces were pre-occupied and unavailable, The [Blackwood Company](private mercenary firm
responsible for the smooth flow of rubylight into [UHO]) did the unthinkable
and in a last standish way detonated their rubylight storages underground, turning Hakara into a wild waste land
it has been known as for twenty years.
