Kannix felt water dripping from above and knew for whatever reason the sprinklers were on. The wet stream made her clothes and hair cling to her body. It was a bad time to wear long-sleeves and her hair covered her eyes. Spreading her bangs to bring back her vision, she only caught the glimpse of blond man getting flung away. 

In the instance of this suddenness, she empowered herself again as a reflex for safety, deflecting whatever would hit her. Next thing she noticed, however, was the long string of fire knocking the beast that had been charging at her away. 

“Whatever I do?  Heh. Sure.” Even in the state of it all, she spoke calmly and even arrogantly.  She watched as another beast charged at her tag-team partner, only to be sent hurtling back with an arc of flame.

She readied herself in a quick crouch before launching herself. The tiles beneath her cracked violently, evidence to the power that she brought. Like a bullet, she hurled herself at the airborne monstrosity and it caved in on itself, flying away like a ragdoll towards the floor above. As Kannix landed, hero-pose-like, the sound of debris and glass breaking from up above confirmed that the hit was a home fucking run, perhaps even down for the count. 

As soon as she stood up, a monster turned right around the corner and with its giant fist prepared a haymaker. In that moment, Kannix energized and the power of the monster’s punch was deadened. Kannix negated the supposed kinetic energy that would send her flying, but Kannix had made sure to not try to reverse the power - for sending the blond man flying away was evidence enough that it had so much more power than she did at her unready state. The predicament now was that the monster was still forcing its fist at Kannix’s side. She has no super strength, and if she dared move, she was afraid of not being able to save herself.

“A little help?”
