Mutebox
Mutebox would have squeaked in surprise if her vocal chords did work, feeling herself suddenly tumble backward onto her behind. A little dizzy from the sudden change, the girl rubbed her head and shook it out of the daze. Mutebox herself hadn't been paying attention to where she was going, so she assumed the boy she had ran into was the same. She prickled at the thought of having to introduce herself... maybe he'd just help her up, apologize, and go away? Every time she has to 'converse' with someone it always wound up with the other party feeling awkward that she couldn't speak and that they couldn't look her in the eyes. Mutebox inwardly sighed. "You're not hurt, are you?" The black haired girl glanced up at the outstretched hand, hesitantly taking it in a delicate grip to lift herself off the ground. As she brushed off her gothic lolita styled dress Mutebox gave a shake of her head to signal she was alright. No... I'm fine, thank you. she thought. Unable to voice the words, her mind was as far as they got. The pure pools of black that was her eyes moved to the bag, a cold feeling gripping her heart. Mutebox had completely forgotten about the desserts! She snatched it quickly from him, fumbling for one of the boxes. As she retrieved it and opened the pretty white box, a deep frown curled her lips under the surgical mask and her shoulders drooped. Inside, a once cute chocolate bunny cake was smushed against one side of the box, chocolate frosting scraped everywhere. Oh... it was so adorable too. Would Mr. Sloth still be happy with it looking like this? And what about the others? Certainly my boss wouldn't be pleased if I went back for another batch, and I don't have the money for it anyhow. Mutebox only seemed more and more discouraged.
