Taking place in the year 3131, society has advanced quite far. The world has made tremendous technological advancements. There is great prosperity, humans are exploring space and war has been obsolete for nearly a century. Evolution has also come a long way, as humans have begun to develop magical powers though the powers themselves only relate to the scientific elements, like being able to bend things containing aluminium or gold, or being able to solve intricate math problems without batting an eye. Super intelligence, super strength and other modern/mechanical skills have developed.

Around puberty, children show signs of developing a skill, be it able to move certain things or even create mechanical beasts out of spare parts laying around. And yet for four select individuals, they do not show signs of powers. Years prior to reaching puberty, they were individually kidnapped and bestowed with a shard which would suppress their powers and would instead retain their powers and turn their powers into more natural, old world magic. These four strangers would go on to struggle with failing to develop their powers like their peers. Their parents would send them to special schools or specialized doctors which would fail to resolve this identity crisis.

The four lackluster individuals would then be reunited upon turning 22, their kidnapper stepping out of the shadows to show them how to use their hidden, and up until now unknown, shards of elemental power. Old magic like controlling the wind or waves, has been long since outdated and forgotten, only history books mentioning these feats briefly. But what do these four have to accomplish? Why were they selected? It wasn't to save the world and it wasn't for nefarious means. The kidnapper's purpose was for fame and glory and these four souls will help, whether they like to or not. These four souls will be trained to preform dazzling feats and delightful tricks. 

That's right, these four were kidnapped and socially ostracized for one big stunt to get a tv show.

But when certain people see four talented acrobats and dancers using old world magic, greed and danger will surely emerge.[/center]

[indent][b]GM Thoughts:[/b] Okay so this is a very quirky premise. Four people get kidnapped and later fail to develop powers like everyone else. They think something is wrong with them but in reality there is a puppet-master behind the scenes pulling the strings for a selfish but silly ploy to have an amazing tv show. I want something funny and wonderful but with the eventual danger lurking, like people wanting to use that special elemental magic for other purposes. So if you're interested in something slice of life based which focuses on a light-hearted adventure of circus meets magic, let me know. It's honestly a spur of the moment idea I had last night and would like to have some fun, instead of stakes always being high and everything always being so dire. I will ensure the world itself is serious but the premise itself is the complete opposite, so I think that juxtaposition will be fun to toy with.
