it's got more to do with the fact that if you're going to interact with someone, then you need to read their whole post, so you aren't missing anything. 

That's  more what i'm meaning. If you're going to skim through an interaction, that you're going to be joining, its disrespectful not to read the whole thing. Because we all work hard on our posts, and to have to constantly point out, hey, that's not right, can you fix it, is a little exhausting.
