Cyare Staunton
[@Plank Sinatra] [@Onarax] [@Expolar] The snow was nice. The expanse of white reminded her of home, in a lot of ways. It was snowy most of the year in the mountains, so at the very least it was familiar. A fresh dusting coated every surface, undisturbed in the early morning hours. The steadily rising sun reflected and illuminated, bathing the town in clean, white tones. Cyare was awake to see it of course. She had risen before dawn, getting her morning exercises in before she donned her well-worn cloak to explore the closest few blocks of the town. She didn't roam far, but this little cross section of Myrtle Town helped her get a feel for it. It wasn't necessary to understand them to do their job, strictly, but it helped. Cyare thought so, at least. It'd help assuage their fears, for sure. It wasn't just magic they were suspicious of, it was the people who used it too. Being aloof would make it worse. Angel wouldn't have any problems getting along with them, but she'd need to try a little harder. It helped a lot, thinking about the ways the town reminded her of home. It helped humanize the place before she'd ever even spoken with the locals. Dark wizards had been an issue there, too. Getting rid of them would be a pleasure. Maybe even help mend bridges between these people and mages, if she did well. If they did. It was... Nice, having a team. Not just Rei. He was a royal pain, though he had his pluses. She wouldn't have been willing to keep working with him if he didn't. But Angel changed up the dynamic. Helped the three of them feel like a team. It was nice. Still, with the sun coming up, she decided to make her way back to the inn. The warmth was certainly welcome inside, bringing a touch of color back to her cheeks as soon as she shut the door behind her. Cyare left her boots behind at the door, once she kicked as much snow off of them as she could, and hung up her cloak to dry. Tracking water through the inn was the last first impression she wanted to make. Wes received a polite nod as she found a seat, sipping at a steaming mug of coffee. No doubt it would be down to business soon, but for now she wanted to enjoy the quiet. Business could wait until everyone was up.
