Mina is not an easy person to like. When she was a girl, she acted like she was better than everyone. This made the other kids hate her, so Mina has grown hard and cold. She is a girl who is used to not being liked. She is haughty, unapproachable, and though she no longer thinks herself better than anyone, she has never gotten used to the lack of grace carried by those who were not raised to be graceful, and it will show.
She is diligent, hard-working as well as talented, and ever professional. She takes her education and body very seriously, and those who take them for granted are looked upon with scorn. This not to say that she’s necessarily unfriendly or nasty, just that there is a wall around her heart, but those who breach it will find a friend for life.

Mina’s Quirk, at the basic level, is the ability to emit light from her body. It is, to the unimaginative, a fairly mundane, useless Quirk, but this grants Mina several useful abilities. The obvious one is that she can light up dark places. She can also create brief, very bright flashes useful for temporarily blinding her foes, and can even, with a lot of effort and focus (currently), concentrate her light into weak laser beams.

Mina is very athletic, regularly spending her free time at home running, horseriding, cycling, swimming, and partaking in various classes such as yoga, pilates, kendo, karate and self-defense. As such she’s very fit and competent in hand-to-hand combat, which she hopes will make up for the currently passive nature of her quirk until she gets better at using it.

Mina was born into a very wealthy family, who lived on a large estate in northern Japan. Her father is Quirkless, as were all his fathers before him. Her mother, however, was the very beautiful Heroine ‘Seductress’, who’s power was to seduce people. She would just seduce the criminals (male and female) and they’d willingly go to jail for her. Of course, she never, ever used this power on Mina’s father. He fell in love with her quirk aside. Once she fell pregnant, she retired from the superhero business to live out the rest of her life in peace and luxury as Lady Kasuke.

Mina has two brothers. The eldest, at nineteen, is the child who will one day inherit his father’s fortunes. He is also Quirkless. The younger of the two is seventeen, and has the troublesome makings of a reckless playboy, not helped by the fact that his Quirk is very similar to his mother’s; Female Magnetism. Mina is the youngest, and takes after her mother in most ways, albeit with her father’s naturally condescending features, and having spent most of her life spoiled rotten. Even so, she has always wanted to be a hero and make the world a safer place just like her mother did.

When her Quirk manifested, Mina was very disappointed. She couldn’t fight crime by simply making her body glow. Nevertheless, she did not give up on her dreams of getting into the same Hero Academy that her own mother attended. She trained her body religiously, as well as her Quirk, until she could use it to emit blinding flashes, and later on, even weak laser beams! [/hider]

Personality:
Many heroes deny that they work for the money or fame, and their desire is solely to help the people. Secustress was refreshingly honest, in that she admits that her main motivation was the attention. Kagura, before she started her family, had always been an attention seeker, though settling down had mellowed her out and now she is a cool mom, in contrast to her aristocratic husband. She tries to keep up with the times, afraid of being old and out of touch, those these efforts make her seem even more out of touch.
Kagura’s wealth has had an effect on her too. Though she’s just as friendly as ever, she carries herself like a Lady now. She’s perpetually charming and sophisticated, which is a far cry from her Heroine days, where her character was fittingly that of a teasing flirt.

Background:
Tanaka Kagura was born to a lower-middle class family. She was an only child, so she sought attention from her parents, and company from friends. Even from an early age, she was a socialite, and this only increased when her quirk developed. A slight increase, she found, would make other girls her age hand out with her, though she didn’t overdo it, because if her sex appeal was too high, other girls would hate her. She rarely ever raised it to points where she might get a guy interested in her by quirk effect alone. Being a pretty teenager, endowed rather than sullied by the changes of puberty, helped a lot.

She enrolled in U.A when she was sixteen, though due to her weak quirk and her lack of control over it, as well as consistently bad grades, she came close to expulsion number of times. With support, though, she trained her body so that she came just above failing grades in physical exercises, and trained her quirk so that it’s effect was now potent enough to stop classmates in their tracks. Though she didn’t even make the tournament brackets at all in her first and third years due to the nature of the challenges, she won first place in the second year tournament just by the sheer effectiveness of her quirk in making the opponent surrender. Tanaka Kagura was truly a force to be reckoned with.

After she graduated, she was snapped up by an agency and spent a mere six months as a sidekick before breaking of into a solo career and rising up the ranks so fast that by the time she was 25 years old, she was the number seven hero in the whole of Japan. Through public speeches, television appearances, merchandising and advertising, she gained plenty of attention among the male population. If she hadn’t retired, she might even have reached the top three within a year!

But that’s when she was courted by Mr. Kasuke. At first, she wondered if he had a quirk similar to hers because she was immediately infatuated with the charming gentleman. She vowed never to use her quirk on him, and the two organically fell in love. Shortly after, Kagura announced her retirement from the Pro Hero game, got married, and then started a family with her rich, quirkless husband. From then on, all she’d be battling were troublesome tantrums, and accusations that she had abused her quirk to marry for money, which was a lie. She loved her family, and would give up all the wealth in the world to keep them by her side.

Her youngest child was the splitting image of her, despite having a mundane quirk, though she wanted to be a Hero, and expressed similar concerns to Kagura herself about how effective she’d be with a weak quirk she couldn’t control. So, Kagura trained her daughter in multiple ways to fight crime, from better use of her quirk to fighting to resolving things without fighting. (Even if Mina never did get the hang of diplomacy. ‘Criminals need to be punished,’ the five year old hero-to-be stated once.)

Quirk:
Kagura’s quirk is the ability to control her own sex appeal. She can turn it down, or she can turn it up so high that she can charm criminals into surrendering! She has never, ever used this quirk on family members or friends.
