That wind just felt like hell to him, but at least he managed to hold his ground while it tried to knock him down. He didn’t know how he was supposed to get on with the rest of the challenges if that was the starter challenge, probably face great injuries in the future even if he tried to be careful and show how strong he was. Staring at his father he sighed lightly, rubbing his stomach a little as he tried to feel out for any pressure that might still be bothering his body from that burst of wind. “Oh right…still got to try and fly…” he muttered before sighing, his eyes staring down at the ground for a moment before looking up as his father placed his hand on his head. He didn’t really know how to respond to something like that, he never did feel powerful and didn’t know how his father was measuring his power and what it was based on. Soon enough his father made it clearer that he was basing this on: some level of determination that he had instead of strength. “I mean…I guess it hasn’t changed. I still plan on going all the way through with this”, he spoke lowly, lowering his gaze as he thought about it, “I don’t plan on giving up, I really need this. I guess…maybe that makes me strong, I just…need to get stronger in the other way. What else should I do…?” -- Shu didn’t see any problem with Master Roshi still knowing some stuff, he was pretty wise and certainly had more combat experience than he did so he was probably pretty experienced in teaching someone like him too. It just wasn’t right to say one of their own teachers wasn’t suited for teaching them still, there was always lessons to be learned no matter the other’s strength. Feeling pretty huffy with Takeshi’s choice of words he was met with Takeshi getting all annoyed at his annoyance, folding his arms tighter in response. It was even worse that Takeshi was telling him to ‘get over it’, like it was no big deal because he wasn’t the one who had been receiving this treatment for so long. Groaning lowly he continued to not meet Takeshi’s eyes with his, not wanting to be this angry himself but he couldn’t get out of the mood. “Get over-every people do it all the time!” he squeaked angrily, throwing his arms up momentarily before promptly folding them again, “Always the thinking Shu is weak!” Not particularly in a good mood he let out a snort at Takeshi’s offer, almost bouncing out of his seat at the same time. “Fighting no make the happy! You just stand and the hitting and pretend it strong! Feel strong no make the happy! Oooohhh…the no happy make the speaky bad…no speak good when mad…”
