Hello! As a kid I loved the tv series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" And now that I am rewatching the series, I was inspired and thought it'd be really fun to go into the world of the Avatar! :D

I was thinking about whether or not I would want this RP to be before The Last Airbender, or after Legend of Korra, but I ultimately chose to have this years and years before Avatar Aang came into the picture... For spoilers sake and I also prefer TLA's setting and plot a bit more.

So, what I have so far is this:

[hider=Rough Draft Plot]Before an airbending avatar's death, a group of very powerful benders made it their mission to assist the terminally ill Avatar in trying to keep peace and order to the nations. When the Avatar finally passed, the world started to search for their successor... But years went by, and no one could truly find the newest Avatar. Afraid that the chain might have been broken, The Order that once helped the previous Avatar took action, doing its part in keeping and maintaining peace across the world.

Eighteen years after the death of the Avatar, The Order took control, some leaders going power hungry, or greedy, or some were simply corrupt. Although there weren't any true conflicts or wars, the world seemed a bit tense. After a waterbending teenage thief went into the Avatar State, the world was eager to find and see the new Avatar.

Afraid of the new responsibility, the waterbender fled, and it was the right move. The Order had become certain that they were the true way of maintaining peace, and the Avatar always stared some conflict during, or after their lives. It was never "true" peace to them... And so when the news came out about the teenage boy, they went after him to try and make sure they were still in charge.

The boy now knows the threats, and has known pain and grief for most of his life. Although the new pressure of being the Avatar scared him, it also gave him hope... a meaning. Now, he had to travel across the land, make friends, and learn from them the lessons he had to to become the Avatar![/hider]

So this is what I have so far! More will come into play in the OOC, and I'd love to hear questions, or additions to the plot if you have any :D
