Abigail straightened and looked at the woman. She didn't know how much she could trust her but at the same time, she needed her her help. Low would be back for her and on her own she had no chance. Better to place herself in the hands of strangers and pray that they would help than to have no shot at all. And she had a feeling any lies she might say would be detected and she might be tossed out or worse... "I am Abigail Ashe. Daughter of Lord Ashe, governor of the Carolinas. Captain Low kidnapped me from Port Royal during his attack upon it. I request sanctuary and aid until I can get word to my father. You will be well compensated." Though dirty, clothes a bit torn, hair in slight disarray there was no mistaking that she was the daughter of a lord. Her bearing, carriage, and voice rang with the evidence. Gone was the slightly frightened girl - or at at least hidden - as Abigail pulled on her experience in dealing with others. She wasn't haughty but at the same time, there was no doubt she knew who she was. Charles leaned against the doorframe. There didn't seem to be any surprise when he heard who the girl was. He might not have known she was that high up but upon further scrutiny, he could see she was a lady. Also, he wasn't surprised. Ned Low was a bit reckless and attacking Port Royal - especially with the Dauntless and Interprid in these parts was foolhardy. Something he himself might have done, assuming he had enough planning ahead of time. He eyed the girl, his eyes then drifting over to Miss Guthrie. There could be profit here. The girl would need someone to safeguard her what with Low around. And her father would pay handsomely for her. He waited patiently.
