I'd say extremely effective, actually maybe a little too effective. We are talking about a pass with two large bodies on both side with only one path making a choke point. Just charge forward(or whatever elephants do) and stomp everything in a straight line. The other troops staying back, but covering flanks. 2. The same way we keep the rest of our troops fed. With none of us mentioning it too much and assuming we all have proper rations.
