She spends all her free time learning everything she can about time travel. BRIEF Bio: During Krypton’s Golden Age of Expansion sent out scout ships to find new worlds to colonize. Kara Zor-L was one of the surveyors sent out. Once her ship was launched and she locked in the coordinates for her first star system to survey went into cryogenic sleep the journey would take a decade to get there. During the trip her ship was hit by space turbulence, unfortunately the system that was supposed to wake her up at the signs of danger was damaged. She spent decades asleep. When she did wake up she found her ship in the middle of an unstoppable crash landing. She miraculously survived. The ship was mostly intact, but it would never fly again or interstellar communication, but the cryogenic sleep functionality was intact along with the auto wake up functionality. She explored as far as she could go but found nothing but frozen waste land. Sure there were mammoth wooly creatures with huge horns but no sign of any sapient life. She estimated the planet was going through an ice age. She would die under these conditions, so she did the only thing feasible; she set the cryogenic sleep to wake her every ten years. During the first ten years the ship was buried under ice. She slept for thousands of years, during that time the ice age thawed out, human life evolved on the planet, and her home planet was destroyed. If it wasn't for a portion of the polar ice cap falling off into the ocean she may never have woken up. She nearly fell into the ocean. She may never be able to communicate off the planet but she tried to communicate with any potential sapient life and hoped it was friendly. The first human life to respond was Russian. She was studied extensively by them she was kept in check by a glowing green rock that hurt her. She was never allowed to realize her full potential. They knew she was a Kryptonian like the legendary Superman; their goal was to eventually use her to manipulate Superman when the time was right. Regime change eventually led to them forgetting about their plans for her, the commander liked her, her mind was fascinating. She used her intellect to curry favor with her captor. Then one day there was an attack on the base, she was released and given a gun. The sun hurt her eyes, she hadn't seen it for over a decade. She defended herself using what little knowledge she had of weapons like this from her time on Krypton, the Kryptonian version was more advanced but they functioned the same pull the trigger. She had to get used to the recoil the Kryptonian ones didn't have recoil. Once the attack was over there was almost no one left alive, with the exception for her and a few soldiers they might as well have not counted it was only a matter of time before they died from their wounds. Alone again with no knowledge beyond what she was given. She tried to start one of the vehicles but she couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. She walked with no direction. She finally came to a small Russian village where she was kindly greeted by a frail Russian woman. They hugged and with her Yellow Sun strength she crushed the woman like a tin can. People who saw started shooting at her. She ducked behind a building. She began returning fire with the gun she used at the base. When she was shot in the head she learned of her invulnerability. The military soon intervened, the Russian news media even began broadcasting about the blonde woman taking on the Russian military single handedly theorizing it was an Evil American Metahuman here to destroy the glorious Russian way of life. This of course came to the Justice League’s attention. She was attacked from behind by a magic user who knocked her out. She was put into a Justice League detention cell for interrogation. Notes: Sample Post: Kara was going stir crazy she goes from one prison to another. She was pacing back and forth. Every once in a while she would scream in Russian at no one in particular. Eventually Superman walked in. Kara could not believe what she was seeing the crest for the House of L though slightly changed. She began speaking her native language, an ancient form of Kryptonian that even Superman’s bio-parents wouldn’t have known. When Superman looked puzzle by her words. She cursed Rao. She wasn’t proud of this and she even kept it from her parents but she showed Superman her tattoo of her family crest on her right butt cheek. She got it while drunk. Since they clearly didn’t speak the same version of Kryptonian she began speaking in Russian again. She figured someone had to know how to translate it. Batman began speaking over the intercom translating back and forth. “My name is Kara Zor-L. Please tell me you can get me home to Krypton. She just repeats that over and over again.” Superman looked puzzled. “Are you sure she said Zor-L? That branch of the family tree from what I gathered died out thousands of years ago.” Superman then told Batman what to say. “My name is Kal-El. I’m sorry to have to tell you but Krypton was destroyed.” She collapsed, holding her knees to her chest. She began cursing Rao once again. Eventually with the aid of a computer that she found rather tedious to use it was so out of date by her standards. She learned English so that Batman wasn’t listening in on their every conversation. “When I left Krypton it was during the Golden Age of Expansion. I was a surveyor sent out to find new worlds to colonize. Something happened I don’t know what I crash landed on this world. The only signs of life I could find were mammoth wolly creatures with horns on the front of their faces.” The computer she was used to using back home would have pulled a visual from her memory to show Kal-El. Kal then showed her a picture based on what she described. “Yes that ugly beast. It smelled horrible and tasted worse.” Kal was absolutely fascinated by her story. She told him everything. He told her as much as he knew. He offered to take her to the Fortress of Solitude. She adamantly refused to go, she hates the cold, spent way too much time around it. After that he began training her to use and control her powers.[/hider]
