Oh, I'm definitely interested for this. Problem is, I really don't know about the setting for Overlord.
Very basic premise is that a player from the MMO Yggdrasil stayed in the game while it was shut down but for some reason he was essentially transferred over to another world while keeping his Avatar body and transporting his entire guild space over there. The big thing is though, all the NPCs got transferred over as well but became 'real' along with whatever backstory their creators gave them which created some interesting results. The biggest difference from the normal MMO becomes real world troupe is that Momonga [An Undead Elder Lich with the advanced class of Overlord as well as the one player transferred over] is at the level cap of 100 but most of the fantasy world is like, level 10 and below with the strongest beings getting into maybe the 60s. Basically he and most of his NPCs are just way too high level for the world so except for some special items there is pretty much nothing that can be considered a danger to him or his NPCs. [@Rune_Alchemist][@Thecrash20][@Dead Cruiser][@vancexentan][@Crusader Lord] I would never go for hard stats, besides it is technically no longer a game world even if many of the mechanics kind of slipped over with the players, not not being able to equip items not suited for your class. So from what I gather from those who expressed interest, all want to be players and don't necessarily want to have a 'single' goal. I had originally thought maybe some people would want to try being NPCs for example so just putting that out there. So if everyone was a player, you would have a level cap of 100, which is Momonga's level, but could be lower if you wanted. Now of interest to remember is that Momonga did not make his build PvP oriented but roleplay oriented instead so he doesn't have the best battle stats but was always very good at using strategy and helped his guildmates win in PvP by getting information on the enemy in his first battle then exploiting it in the next. Of course since it is now a real world his more roleplay oriented build turns out to be pretty good for the environment and he can't help being so over-leveled in a low-level populated world. One of the most interesting aspects of Overlord is how your Racial status and passive skills can have a substantial effect on your real world persona, like how Momonga as an undead hardly feels at all anymore for people, but since he was originally a person he still maintains some of his humanity. Something to think about in character creation. As for the Great Tomb of Nazarik and all that that implies, if we keep it there could be some interesting interactions down the road, or have it not be. I would kind of prefer to keep it though as it sets the stage pretty well. If we did get rid of it, then we would either have to make it an alternate universe where it was our guild that got sucked in, or just make it a different timeline of a group that entered either before or after Momonga's era. Either way would be a lot more work though.
