Name: Laura Maria Ragosa Age: 26 Phobi-ablility: : Ochlophobia, the fear of Crowds

She can create an infinite amount of replicas of herself from nowhere and at no cost. The replicas seemingly appear and disappear from nowhere. They are functionally as human and physical as the original, but are more like hyper realistic illusions that fool technology and people. Her power works on the premise of belief and want allowing her to will their existence in nay location within her viewing and understanding. If she wills it to have an entire room full of her replicas then there will be a room full of her. All replicas can be created to be autonomous or a part of a hive-mind. Autonomous replicas act independently albeit similar to the original and are expected to follow orders. Autonomous clones can be used for more long distance spying but the farther they are physically and emotionally the less control the original has. Replicas in the in the hive-mind share one thinking space where the original has authority, the larger the group the harder to control She can design the existence of the clones functionally recreating their appearance, age, sex, and personality as long as it is based on her own identity. The more separate the replica’s identity from her the harder they are to instruct or integrate into the hive-mind. Designing a replica requires for her to actively think about them as if creating a character. Simply changing their appearance is easy, but changing their personality requires for her to think of scenarios that will make it happen for that replica to have such a personality. As replicas of her they all share the limited physical and thinking abilities as the user, unless designed otherwise. The clones are naturally just as human as she is and are just as susceptible to pain and torture as she would be, but kidnapping a clone is unlikely as she never keeps track of any clone long enough for them to exist outside of her immediate peripheral.

Personality:

She’s a steadfast girl with a big personality, loud, explosive, and emotional. She’s the headstrong, in-your face, and openly aggressive when need be kind of girl that will chew you out if you deserve chewing out. She’s also just as likely to shower someone with love and affection. She’s that girl with a soft and nurturing core, much more forward thinking and constantly underestimated in both level of understanding and intelligence because people only really see her as a sex object, and naturally her response to this was to get even, get better, and make them all regret the day they underestimated her.

Relations:

Mother & Father: Alive, separated, but together in their vices, ineptitude and mutual neglect of their children. One is a bipolar junkie in and out of the institution, and the other is an alcoholic petty thief. There’s no love lost in their disappearance. Younger siblings: Alive, well, one of the few good things in her life, and deserve so much better than her. Don’t mess with them because they are her pride and joy. Faye: Dated, amicable split, very kinky. Owes her for her current job.

Backstory:

In every neighborhood there’s always someone like her. Laura was never much of a child since she had to take care of her parents. By the time she was ten she knew how to properly take care of a drunk and a junkie, while taking care of a five-year-old with a hundred-degree fever. To say that she had to grow up quickly is an understatement of great proportions. Laura was still in her adolescence when she found out she couldn’t be in crowds. There was an assembly in school where all the students in school gathered, ten minutes into the school assembly she started breaking down which lead to her passing out. By the time she figured out she couldn’t be anywhere near a big crowd she had already quit school. Using any means necessary she managed to deal with her own phobias and still managed to support herself and her siblings. All her odd jobs and part time jobs were done late at night or where she can be isolated from other people, and it worked. They weren’t the best jobs, but for someone who only had a high school degree, supporting five other children, and made sure to keep a roof over her head she did leagues beyond everyone her age. As an adult Laura still struggles to make rent and provide a comfortable lifestyle to her family, but things are better now. It helps that everyone understood their position and helped to make ends meet. Times are always tough for Laura, but even she needed help, self-help material could only go so much. She joined a program for lower income citizens who needed counseling, a group therapy type thing where she met and dated Faye for a few months until they split. She didn’t need the program when she heard about it, but the offer was too good, and she still had four siblings that needed to go to university. With great thought she jumped in head first into battle, a means to end the tragedy of lost youth. In application she can make bullet move to go to its intended target so long as she knows where the target is, as such she can make a bullet curve, make complete sharp turns, reverse, speed up, slow down, and hover until it hits its target. Once a bullet hits it’s intended target she can no longer control it as it is no longer in her domain of control. The bullets however do not exceed their function, as such a regular pistol can only shoot bullets that work like regular pistols, as such they cannot pierce armor because only armor piercing bullets pierce armor. Her powers also extend to the gun itself as such she can telekinetically control guns around her. Her level of control with her powers allow her to place a sniper rifle outside the immediate vicinity and still be able to know where it is, shoot it from a distance and still be able to it hit her intended target. There is also an added reality bending aspect to her power in that her fear allows her to functionally carry an absurd amount of firearms from a concealed location on her body, or from their appropriate cases. The guns which she summons also have an added bonus of being in perfect condition at all times, and never running out of bullets. She can functionally summon guns out of nowhere as long she has a means of making them appear when not in direct line of sight from someone, or if she is pulling it out of a case. Her powers allow her to do this because it is based on the belief that guns are at their most dangerous when they appear out of nowhere, have a never ending magazine, are at their top condition, and can come from multiple directions.

Personality:

She's an anti-nihilist, a woman who has long since accepted that the world sucks and that’s why she makes the most of it and herself. Her ideals are based on the simple fact that anyone can die at any moment in time, to live your life inhibited will one of regret. The same principles apply to why she’s where she is now, if you were given the chance to be rid of what you fear the most, why not take the plunge and do it, helping people is just a big plus. Some would say her action are that of a thrill seeker, while others would say suicidal and manic, to her all that matters is that she’s having fun at her own pace and being a good person.

Relations:

Mother: Alive and in a senior home for early onset Alzheimer’s, but otherwise happy Father: Possibly dead, she left when she was young. Won the “Not as much of an asshole” award for leaving Faye and her mother money. Laura: Dated, amicable split, great in bed. Likes her work ethic.

Backstory:

She is the child of love born out of the war between a mother who fought in the war and a detective father who wanted peace. She had a good childhood that resulted in a thick but good head on her shoulders that understood what it means to be good and bad. When she was twelve her parents split apart, their divorce was pretty clean and he was still supportive, they simply fell out of love. Through her mother’s soldier duties and her father’s justice seeking she herself became a soldier. Her years at the military academy and war college taught her what it means to be at war, the intricacies of the world, and the justice inherent in everything, but at the same time grew to appreciate what is left and what can be fought for. At 25 she was already an accomplished soldier having gone to the fields of battle several times. By her fifth tour she already had PTST, but she kept on fighting the good fight. In a twist of irony her biggest tragedy happened when she was in the city, a rouge sniper began picking civilians one by one with her helpless and exposed. It was a tragedy of two casualties, dozens emotionally scared, and her who’s entire life has so far revolved being able to and having pride in firearms no longer able to be nearby one. The irrational fear had already set in, a rare case of late onset phobia development helped by its comorbidity with years of PTSD. Faye lost her military identity soon after, no one needed a soldier who can’t fire a gun. Two years of therapy didn’t help. The only good thing to come out of it was that she met Laura, who she dated for a while, but they had conflicting life goal and split soon after. A part of her believed that she would never be able to serve a purpose or see battle again, someone like her with her skill set would never be able to live a normal life. For a while she thought being a civilian is that she was left to be, but soon enough someone approached her for the PHOBIA program. Once more she found a reason to serve and protect, with the power and opportunity to do good in a much bigger scale.
