Reina Mori
Waiting with the gathered crowd which grew more and more impatient with each passing minute, Reina kept her head down glancing at all the interesting people for only a moment at a time. The knot in the girl's stomach, that had been there since last night, exploded as the crowd began to grow even rowdier. It took all she had to try and keep her quick as nullified as possible, though she knew her anxieties were causing her to involuntarily push everything around her away lightly every now and again, before she got it back under control. Satisfied her quirk was zeroed out, she finally took the time to look up to see what had gotten the crowd even more worked up. Ah, the gates had finally opened. Reina found herself being swept along with the group, which didn't help her mood very much, but there was nothing she could do about it without coming off as a huge jerk. Accepting her fate, she waited until she finally got to the gate, and scanned her ID. The she was still closely surrounded by many people, it was nowhere near as bad as the bottleneck created by the gate, allowing her to finally relax her tense body if only slightly. She eyed the guards with a frown as she decided to head with the flow of students going to the school's left wing entrance. As she half-jogged to keep up, her gaze moved to a female student who had made it up into a tree. Reina stared in curiosity as she watched the girl use her quirk to open a second-floor window and slip inside from one of the tree's branches. It was as impressive as it was interesting. Reina's eyes shifted to one of the orbs that floated around her, frowning at it. If only she could replicate what she had done a month ago, she'd be able to enter the same window that the girl had unlocked. The short-haired girl bit her lip in a measure of frustration, cursing her complete lack of mastery over her quirk. She had to learn how to use it as soon as she could. It was the only reason she had gotten into this school to begin with. "Oh my, Look at the time. It is 8:20, you kids better rush to class before you are marked absent. Chop Chop!" The voice brought her attention back to her surroundings, now inside the school. The young man who had spoken--likely a teacher--continued, reminding them that being late meant being expelled. It was a little extreme and silly, the whole test they were being put through on the first day, Reina thought, but she was in no position to argue. She just had to get through it and make it to tomorrow. Strange that this test involved... a minefield of the young teachers clones? The original seemed quite proud of himself, too. This wouldn't stop a quirkless person if they even had any determination to get through, let alone the future pro heroes that the obstacle was apparently meant for. Reina glanced at a rather short boy who was the first to reply to the teacher. He sounded confident enough. And ready to try something, judging by the stance he had taken. As expected, he showed off his quirk a moment later, earning a grimace from the girl at both the sudden loud noise caused by his breathing and the pop of both her ears. "JET...HUNTING!" Loud. Reina frowned, not hiding her annoyance very well as she watched the boy take off. She swallowed a few times, trying to unpop her ears, growing more and more aggravated as this morning went on. The boy's quirk was certainly impressive, and coupled with his strong personality showed the girl that he belonged at an academy like this. But that respect for him didn't stop her from finding him at least a little grating. It wasn't his fault, really. It was everything that had happened: the worry of being late all morning, being stuck in a crowd and pushed around, all her insecurities and anxieties... the ear popping was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Enough. She didn't think she deserved to be here--but this 'test' was almost insulting. The girl stuffed her hands into her pockets and activated her quirk to repel--any students gathered near her would immediately feel it pushing them away from her. As she began walking briskly forward, she turned up the effect, to make sure none of the teacher's clones could approach her without a struggle. The table skidded across the floor, eventually toppling over as she approached it, and paint cans spilled over. She glanced to the original teacher with a frown, still feeling guilt for making an even bigger mess of the hall despite her annoyance. "S-sorry..." she managed, quickly looking away and increasing her pace to get away from any lingering gazes. Climbing the first set of stairs she found, Reina finally began to think about finding her way around. While it wouldn't be a big deal in any other situation, the fact that her school life was on the line made the normal stress of learning the layout of a new school much worse. She knew her class was somewhere on the third floor, at least. As she turned to climb the next set of stairs, she looked around down the halls idly. She paused, noticing a figure in the distance, obscured through two sets of doors. Recognizing the pale-blonde hair, she realized it was the girl from before, who had entered the building through a window. Without thinking too much about how close she'd be cutting it with how little time was left, Reina made her way through the first set of doors, and stood inside the second, holding it open. "Hey... um, you trying to get to class?" she called to the girl, immediately cringing internally at the dumb question. Of course she was trying to get to class, literally every student in the school was trying to get to class right now. Stupid. Avoiding eye contact in an attempt to stifle the mild embarrassment she felt, Reina motioned with her head towards the way she had come, indicating that's where they needed to go if they wanted to avoid expulsion on their first day.
