He didn't have any objections to that. Among the members of the peerage, Ekibe was probably the one he worked best with - Argos included but he came to a close second. In the past six months, he's been around her a lot because of their little searches so he's gotten a chance to get to know her fighting style. Though, the one he's actually been around the most was Siegfried. He missed the days when they were the only ones deployed and Siegfried do ninety percent of the fighting and he'd just be supporting him through long ranged shots. Maybe he'll team up with him again at the next mission. Luckily, he wasn't going to deal with him on that day. He didn't seem to be in the best of moods, probably because his fight was interrupted with this. He'd rather not deal with the fuming dragon while also having to fight someone. It might be true that Siegfried would most likely take out his anger at the enemy; he wasn't going to take any chances with it. He sighed exasperatedly when the King mentioned that they had no information on the Strays aside from their appearances. No names, no combat abilities - nothing. Kenji was used to going in blind, but if someone had any information then he'd appreciate it if they spilled. That way, it would be easier to do the job and it would also be a lot safer. It made things sound suspicious. Their master was apparently dismissive of this certain mission... then why the hell did they have to go out and hunt for them? Ah, but no questioning the higher ups. Such was the life. Kenji looked at the picture. Oh, an arachnid. Interesting. This was a recent breakout right? There was a high possibility that she would hide out in secluded and dark places. The broken church fell into that category. He burned the appearance to his memory. He'd rather make quick work out of this one. Nothing was better than lazing around after all. "The park, got it." The Fallen Angel said with a nod. He then looked over to Ekibe and then silently followed behind the white haired demi-goddess.
His feet were on autopilot as the pair walked down the path heading towards the abandoned church. He looked up at the sky - the moon shining brightly around it, surrounded by stars. It was a good night. He always preferred the night, even before he became a devil. He was always much more aware at this time. He was restless, unlike when it was day and he would be a lot more sluggish and sleepy. He absentmindedly kicked a small rock to the side, not caring if it would catch someone's attention or not. "If it's a Queen, then I think we have our work cut out for us. It wouldn't make much sense, since usually Queens are the most trusted but I guess it does happen." Kenji replied before falling into silence as he thought about it. Seriously, if it was a Queen and an arachnid, they would probably end up in a cage of web. He hated not having any room to fly around and dodge. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case. "Perhaps she is a rook? When you pack a punch and be able to create web cages, I think it's a good combination. Though we wouldn't really know until we meet her." He didn't miss a beat when she had asked the next question as he confidently answered, "I followed one of their rookie members to the Church quite a while back. He wasn't able to sense my presence but I made sure to not get too close. I may be confident on how well I can erase my presence, I had to be careful." It would be bad if they found out that one of them had been followed. There were multiple consequences to this, bu the one he as most worried about was them moving out. "But if they did sense me, they probably wouldn't be there anymore. Here's to hoping. However, if they're not there, then there would be a higher chance that the arachnid was there." At least there's a high probability that this situation was the win-win type of deal. If the other's not there, then the opposite would probably be there.
