Since I'm new here and it's easier for me to recognize all the differences because of that, I've got a chunk to drop here.
Somewhere I read that GOOD writing consists of using words that are readable. Not over the top words, where you're scraping the synonym barrel for the most unused, unappreciated, unheard-of word to toss in your roleplay. I get it. You want to sound intelligent, but just use proper grammar and don't repeat the word "softly" for your every adjective. A good roleplay is one you can read and be ABSORBED into. Googling ten words a paragraph is not immersive.

I'm going to be a Judgy Jason and say this. What the hell are some of these roleplay formats?

I've never thought of myself as incapable, or underachieving, or any of those things, but man. Let me tell you. The sheer SIZE of an interest check, where you are literally just trying to find out if someone would even be interested to begin with, is insanity. Putting that much work into a piece that could absolutely just fall on deaf ears? That's not something I'm sure I could ever hop on board with.
