He didn't know if she would answer or not but he had a message ready for her if she didn't.

“Level two clearance and greenlighted on our expedition—we just hit the day running, huh?” Eve managed to swagger even while sitting, yanking out her thumb drive from the table with a confident twist before standing up. Adam, as was expected, barely heard her, his chin cupped in his hand as he stared at the door Lady Silver had just left through. “It's all happening so fast... do you really think she expects us to be able to leave by today?” “We are the Wonder Twins. If the impossible wasn't expected of us on a daily basis, we wouldn't be members of the Tower, would we?” Adam shook his head, turning toward her with a sigh. “I still can't get over how enthused she was. It's like she's been a closet archeologist this whole time. Eager, though I'm somewhat concerned about her experience, asking us to leave so suddenly...” “Oh, stop all the worrying and get working! We're leaving today, remember?” Eve slapped her hand against Adam's shoulder, her wince somehow managing to twist into a smile. “I've already had Ace analyzing what supplies we'll need for more spelunking out there. The grav scaffolding needs new wiring in a few places and the solar sails need their monthly maintenance, but I can handle that in a few hours.” Adam nodded, absentmindedly following his sister out of the conference room. “The food and auxiliary fuel stores should be fine, but our new guest... well. We can't have her sleeping in a bunkbed. We'll have to rearrange the first-level quarters so they're comfortable for Lady Silver.” “Just add it to Ace's list! He'll take care of everything. You should focus on getting your notes together or something.” Eve grinned, starting to feel some of the excitement rub off on her, too. She was about to mention more they should consider for the expedition, but her phone suddenly started to vibrate and display an unknown number. Without a second thought (and to Adam's mild annoyance), she accepted the call and brought the phone to her face. “Thank you for reaching Tower Garbage Compaction. How can we assist you?”
