Erebus and the Counsel already don't care much for stopping the Empire, especially that they are promising great rewards for them joining. They are only doing this because of the Honor they can claim for at least giving a helping hand in the War. Since they feel duty bound to help the West, regardless if their personal interests are elsewhere. [sub]
