"You're welcome," the girl had said. She hadn't been upset, or angry, so Fumika had definitely managed to interact properly with her. She'd actually spoken to another person on her first day of class, and they'd been nice to her! The blonde would-be heroine made a mental note of everything that had been said, reminding herself to tell Haruka after she got back to the dorm. This way, Haruka wouldn't have to worry about her so much. Even if she didn't have any friends yet, she had at least proven that she could talk to people here... right? She opened the door into the third floor corridor, and then stopped, and thought occurring to her. The girl from downstairs had held the door for her, and she'd seemed to be going up as well... Haruka had always told her that a real hero would never rely on favors from others, but rather, would repay them to the best of her ability. In that case, she knew exactly what she had to do! She stopped at the top of the stairs, held the door open, and waited. ...Everything was utterly still for several seconds, and Fumika was a bit worried that the other girl wasn't coming. But, just as she was about to give up and head onward to class, she saw a dark-haired head cresting the top of the stairs... accompanied by someone she'd never seen before? Well, it wasn't really unusual, she supposed. There must have been plenty of people trying to get to class still, right? She pulled back the door a little wider, taking great care to give the two of them plenty of clearance so she wouldn't bump into either of them. She didn't want to leave any lingering imprints on her particle shell, after all, or else she'd feel like she was being poked and prodded for the next several minutes. They all seemed to be headed in the same direction, so as the two of them passed her by, she fell in step beside them, keeping a close eye out for the sign that would denote class 1-A. As they walked, though, the dark-haired girl spoke up again. "Which classes are you guys in?" She asked suddenly. But, strangely enough, she wasn't looking at Fumika when she spoke, but rather the floor... And Fumika wasn't a "guy," so did that mean that she wasn't included? But there was only one male student in the corridor, and she'd used the plural... But she wasn't looking at him, either? Then, were there tiny people on the floor that she was talking to? Fumika strained her eyes, but couldn't see anything down there... She wasn't sure if she was being addressed, but Haruka had always told her she needed to act more confidently. Answering a question regardless of whether or not one was the intended recipient was something that a confident person would do, right? Then in that case, Haruka definitely would have answered if it had been her, which meant... Oh. That's the classroom. We're going to walk past it. Fumika abruptly stopped in her tracks, reached out a hand gingerly, and caught hold of the dark-haired girl's sleeve - being careful not to touch her skin in the process. Or at least, she thought she had been, but the moment her hand got close to her, it suddenly got really hard to pull it away, like her body was a magnet and Fumika was a nail, or something. She managed to avoid direct contact, but ended up reflexively tugging on her sleeve a little harder than she intended. She gulped. That was probably rude, right? She let go and pulled back her hand as quickly as she could, drawing back a step and taking a moment to re-compose herself. "Umm... My class is here - class 1-A," She answered quietly, before mentally slapping herself. In her momentary surprise, she'd completely forgotten how she should have been behaving. She didn't sound like a confident person should have at all. The other girl would probably be upset with her for sure... [@Riegal] [@Aerandir]
