Jiatsu Yaboku is the daughter of a Vice Warden of Impel Down and a mysterious woman, born to a government official she was raised in a very strict environment, taught only about the prison of pirates and the duties involved with being either a guard in the place or eventually becoming the new Warden. As a result of this upbringing, harsh training, and unfriendly environment she had grown to despise the prison, and love those trapped within it’s walls. When her father died the World Government sought out the Venom-Venom Fruit but because she had done her training and duties without complaining they offered the fruit to her, like her father before her and she accepted it, shortly after she had obtained the fruit she created an escape plan, intending on joining the life of pirates with one goal, she wants to be free of the construct of the World Government, or really any rules.[/INDENT]

[INDENT] She is built lean and slight, having nearly no chest to speak of but fairly bigger hips, she has a triangle shaped face, big eyes, a pert nose, and thinner nearly red lips, despite their thin appearance they look soft, she’s got long legs, and long fingers, made to play a piano, she’s very pear-shaped, her hair splits down the middle and sort of hangs in two thick lengths behind her head, she also wears an indigo ribbon in her hair. She is extremely pale, as if the sunlight has never touched her skin; because up until the present day it hadn’t ever touched her skin. [/INDENT]

[INDENT] She wears an almost sailor suit type dress, with a long skirt, it’s turtleneck with a matching indigo ribbon tied around the turtleneck-like collar to keep it from pooling lower on her neck, the outfit itself is white and silver though she wears fingerless black gloves. She wears black stockings that have indigo diamonds all the way up her legs and high heeled boots that seem to blend and match the stockings.
 
She carries herself with the confidence born of her strict upbringing, she never slumps her shoulders, she always stands tall and straight, giving off a much needed aura of command that most doctors have.[/INDENT]

[INDENT] Jiatsu is confident and boyish, with an extremely keen eye that never misses anything, when she’s doing her work she gives off an aura of ‘obey or die’ making most lean towards obeying what she says, simply because she does know what’s best when it comes to healthcare and taking care of others. Despite her boyish confidence she dresses very girlishly and cares for all those she nurses, going above and beyond to ensure they recover in due time. She is extremely intelligent and patient, though she can be a little sadistic and enjoys deadpan humor, often threatening to poison those around her, she has a natural grace to her but when she doesn’t have something to focus on she can be a little air-headed and space out, she’s creative, her mind always on ‘go’, unfortunately she can be very jealous and sometimes violent, those she claims as friends (or a lover) will have to deal with her nosiness and ‘mother hen’ tendencies, but because of these things when people earn her trust (rare as that is) she will be forever loyal.[/INDENT]

[INDENT] Specialties: Antidotes, surgeries, general health care, she’s incapable of creating medicines though and so has to buy most of her medicine, she can however create antidotes against poisons. (Her Doctor Skills)
She has a talent for forgery, able to mimic anyone’s handwriting that she’s seen flawlessly and has slowly been building up her lock picking skill; which she’s used to steal medicines before for a patient. She’s a talented writer as well, often hiding her writings though since she wants to eventually publish what she’s writing.
 
She can also create poisons, even though she has an immunity to them since she ate the Devil Fruit she was given .[/INDENT]

[INDENT]She has two long term goals. To write and publish the story she’s writing and to eventually be completely free of her ties to Impel Down. She also seeks out her mother, curious because she never knew the woman.[/INDENT]

[INDENT]She joined because she had a desire to join a decent crew, the crew’s infamy is what drew her in, people like the Captain and the other crewmates seem as though they’d be helpful to have around if she ever wants to achieve her biggest goal in life. [/INDENT]

[INDENT] Jiatsu was born within the walls of Impel Down, for the first few years of her life, while she was being taught how to be a human, she was hidden away in a single room with no other children to play with as most guards would never think to have a child inside a prison, Jiatsu was the exception to this rule and as a result when she was only 5 years old they introduced her to the levels of the prison, being told exactly what each level meant and the duties to be performed, who was the most dangerous, who was just sort of dangerous, she learned the layout quickly, being forced to walk the halls with her father once a day, every day. Eventually she got brave and approached one of the less active prisoners and began to speak to them, her father caught her and forced her away but she made it a point to sneak away and wander the prison alone at night, sneaking past other guards and conversing with some of the less dangerous criminals, as she got older she got braver approaching more ‘dangerous’ types and seeing more of what they did to those trapped inside the prison. She was horrified but hid it well, managing to do the same things that the other guards did, though without fail she'd vomit once she was alone, feeling sick with herself for what she did.

During her training and learning the layout of Impel Down she had come to grow reliant on her father to protect her from the dangers of the different levels as she learned how to handle certain situations on her own, from ten years old to thirteen her father taught her how to use a gun, wanting to keep her as far away from the prisoners as possible since he was always get overprotective of her, several times she'd watch her father train other soldiers in physical combat but never her, it...bothered her on a fundamental level because he would use the Devil fruit and sometimes poison the trainees, these events are what led her to gain an interest in medicine, specifically antidotes.
 
Several years passed and when she was no more than thirteen years old she took a deep interest in medicine and medical care and began to study it, leaning biology and poisons and antidotes quickly, since her father was the keeper of the venom-venom devil fruit. Her interest expanded to saving lives more directly, walking down the path of studying to be a surgeon, while continuing to do work around the prison. At 20 years old, and after years of studying she finally earned the title of Asclepius, a nickname from those whose lives she’d saved, some being prisoners, several being guards. Jiatsu had used her father's influence to get around the prison without being questioned too much usually, or using charm and manipulation, the prisoners she had been allowed to save had usually been someone who had once been in a place of power, them being alive was far more profitable than them being dead.

She continued to live this way in tumultuous peace until her father died when she was 22 years old, she was promoted to a guard herself but had fallen into a deep depression after her father's death, she had; despite how she hated the prison, loved her father and had become a bit of a husk of her former self, since she was the only child of the Vice Warden they were tolerant of her grief stricken heart and promised her all the time she needed to heal to functioning again.

The one friend she had made was a young man the same age as her, he checked on her every day and took over a lot of the duties she'd volunteered to do, it was his influence and encouragement that made the leaders of Impel Down give her the fruit they'd finally found two months after her father's death. They'd hoped it would give her some sense of always having her father with her and would help bring her out of her depression. Tired and stricken as she was she had simply stared at the fruit for awhile it took her a week to eat the thing, she started to drip poison and to protect the people and guards in the underwater prison Jiatsu stayed away from everyone for another four months. The moment she ate the fruit she had made a decision though, she wouldn't stay here for much longer but she needed a plan. She spent those four months training her body to not drip the poison and planning an escape. The only viable ways she could think of were to help cause a prison break...which she was really tempted to do, or...fake her own death. She could do that no problem she knew the medicine to temporarily stop her heart putting her body in a sort of death sleep. With that in mind she started working on her plan in secret, working to get the medicine she'd need...with the help of Ryoku, he was a high enough guard that he could get his hands on the needed pills and be the one to take her 'body' to be sent back to the sea.

6 months after her father's death Jiatsu Yaboku killed herself via overdose of the medicine she had access to, and without her around there was none to do any digging into her death and Ryoku Kaijin took her body from the prison along with three other well respected guards to put her back to sea. Mysteriously though as the day for her funeral approached her body went missing as did Ryoku Kaijin. The rumor started that he simply didn't want her to die and took her body to one of those crazies who used shadows to keep corpses moving. Truth was the two left the base together at night in total secret, under the cover of darkness and fled to Twin Capes, seeking a much more free way of life.[/INDENT]

[INDENT]Close quarters combat isn't her specialty but she's decently capable, the worst combat situation she could find herself in would be being surrounded by sea stone or with any sort of sea stone restraints since she never has normal bullets for her guns anymore, she'd still be able to fight hand to hand but again this isn't her main area of expertise.[/INDENT]

[INDENT] She was born in Impel Down and as a result she’s been exposed to all sorts of fighting, she has never been one to approve of violence but she has a fair amount of actual combat experience, although she prefers to nurse those who are hurt back to health. She doesn’t announce that she was born and raised in Impel Down either, for fear that the pirates she’s chosen to surround herself with could turn on her thinking she’s a spy. So while yes it’s in her history she hasn’t told anyone her origins, as a result of this she fakes amnesia, pretending to not remember where she comes from.  [/INDENT]
