[b]Backstory[/b]: The third born son of a minor noble house, Aldebrand has always been curious. When he wasn’t bombarding his tutors with questions, he was practicing his fire magic, often singeing himself in the process. He also founded that he preferred the solace of books over that of the outdoors. It came to no one’s surprise when he went off to university. There he learned much about magic, from basic spells of almost every school, to the most advanced fire spells he could get his hands on. However, despite the great libraries and professors, he found that several of his questions had no clear answers, mainly about magical creatures. With his curiosity unsatisfied, he set off to perform his own experiments. He soon picked up a good knowledge of alchemy and the creatures’ biology out of necessary for his experiments. He soon ran into a problem, the specimens that he got from hunters were often expensive and not up to par due to decay and battle damage. Along with not being able to see how the creatures natural reacted to their environment, he decided to solve his problems by taking his studies from the lab to the field. [b]Motivation[/b]: As he has dragon heritage Aldebrand feels a special responsibility for the actions of dragons and is very curious about the effects of Htraknu’s magic. [b]Magic[/b]: Dragon blood flows through his veins because of his dragon ancestry. He learnt most of his control from university along with some tips from his dragon relative when she checks up on his family every decade. [b]Skills/Strengths[/b]: [list]Skilled pyromancer. Knowledge of many magical creatures’ biology and abilities. Passable knowledge of most schools of magic as well as alchemy.[/list] [b]Weaknesses[/b]: His curiosity about magical creatures tends to get him into potentially dangerous situations. In addition, his pride in his abilities tends to make him overestimate them, and waste magic on flashier spells. He has also never fought without magic a day in his life.
