[@ViannaNight] Not at all. I like to think of it the way that Cardcaptor Sakura thinks of the Sun and Moon, which are sort of treated like elements. The Sun, or Spirit in this case, draws power from itself, while the Moon draws power from others. One is not better than the other, and neither are considered good or evil. 

Perhaps Spirit could manifest in two different forms, one being what my character uses, drawing energy from himself and the other where they draw energy from something else? Perhaps sunlight or moonlight?
