Chloe looked at her hand in Adam's and again felt that electric shock go through her. It didn't hurt and it wasn't exactly unpleasant but it was definitely strange. Was it attraction? The kind that she always read about in books? Is her heart beating fast just because of running or was it because she was both nervous and excited to be alone with the man she embarrassed herself in front of earlier that day? When they stopped, she thought she could catch her breath and gather her thoughts. She watched him lean down to roll up her pants. It was really thoughtful of him.

When he straightened back up, she opened her mouth to thank him but her eyes grew wide when he leaned down, cupped her cheek and pressed his lips against hers. 

At the contact, her breath hitched and disjointed images flashed through her head. A huge room with marble floors and ivory spires. Two women that looked strangely familiar. A man wearing armor with fire burning in his eyes. 

When Adam pulled back, the memory receded as though it was never there in the first place. She didn't say anything first and just let him drape his arm on her shoulders. [color=khaki]"What was that?"[/color] she finally asked. The question was both about the kiss and the strange images she had seen. 

Did he see them too? Or were they just a product of her over imaginative mind? But if it was, why now? Why after kissing Adam?

She paused at that thought and her cheeks promptly turned bright pink. What was she doing letting a man she had only met a few hours ago kiss her? She worried about what he would think. Would he think she was easy for letting him just kiss her like that? But if she had pushed  him away, would he be offended?
