Cool, calm colors in her outfit are contrasted by the intensity and fire of the various reds, like her sash around her waist or the flowers in her hair. Claiming to want to feel free, Nona will always dress comfortably and liberally as she can. Her clothes all have a sort of tropical nuance to them. Her mother was very reclusive and distrustful as Nona's father had been a pirate during his life but passed away in that life shortly after Nona's birth. This, in turn, made Nona's mother the way she was. Although her father's death did not phase Nona in the slightest as she felt compelled to go out there, just like her father. Her mother, of course, disagreed believing that the world outside the island was violent and bigotted to their kind. These constant threats were ignored by Nona and instead she spent her teenage years secretly receiving Karate training by a friend of her father's, Master Guushi. It was the Fat Fish's stories that fueled Nona's desire to leave and with the Fat Fish's teachings and training for the outside world, Nona left Fishmen Island after a brief heated argument with her mother. It has been two whole weeks since Nona has surfaced in the Twin Capes, originally looking for a pirates who knew her father but gave up rather quickly looking for any crew to take her on as a navigator.... While deadly enough on land, Fishman Karate has a number of devastating underwater moves designed to be suitable with the Fishmen strength and speed along with the mobility that goes while under water and, in some cases, a fishman's personal adaptation. the secret of Fishman Karate is mastery of the water in the user's direct vicinity, using its power to send powerful waves impacting the water within the opponent's body. Ever since Jinbe's ability to also extend the prowess of Fishman Karate on land, the rest of the masters of Fishmen Karate have started picking this up and then teaching it to their pupils. Nona's particular emphasis has been on manipulating the water in the air. In particular, using a variety of movements, she can alter the temperature of the water or water vapor in the air to perform various abilities. For example, swift movements can, provided concentration and focus, cool the vapor and water to freezing point potentially while slow and powerful movements can heat vapor and water.[/INDENT] [b]Strengths :[/b] [INDENT]The most ideal situation is Nona and her opponent being underwater or in rainy conditions as Nona's aquatic physique and martial arts provides her a massive edge in combat.[/INDENT] [b]Weaknesses:[/b] [INDENT] Inexperience is Nona's greatest weakness at the moment. Steam Stomp: Lifting a leg up and stomping on the ground causes the vapor or water around the foot to heat up in steam. The amount of steam produced depends upon environmental conditions and is best used on a surface of water. Icy Hot Blast: A complicated move that requires perform several Cooling Maneuvers, freezing the water or vapor around her, before performing a charged strike to rapidly heat the frozen water causing a steam explosion.[/INDENT] [h3][b][u]Meta Information:[/u][/b][/h3] [b]Character Growth Plan:[/b] [INDENT]I'm thinking of having Nona start out as a half klutz, getting this far just on charm and luck up to the point she joins the crew. The time onboard the crew will hopefully arc her through revealing her naivety and teaching her about the world. Maybe a lowpoint arc where Nona is deeply effected by events happening, losing her goodwill and charm briefly before regaining her courage and charmful demeanor. [/INDENT] [b]Combat Growth:[/b] [INDENT]Further development in her Karate to develop new and interesting techniques. Possible discovery of a Seastone Anchor (an idea I thought of before) as an improvised war club. The anchor has a length of chain usually tied around the neck of the anchor that can be unwound and change the usage of the weapon to that more of a flail and extend reach. A combination of her greater Fishmen strength and Fishmen Martial Arts has allowed Nona utilize this weapon effective enough in combat without being burdened too much.[/INDENT] [b]Planned Story Points/Arcs:[/b] [INDENT]Nona getting kidnapped due to a situation sounds fun and appropriate. Due to Nona's trusting but naive nature, she is very prone to trusting the wrong person. Otherwise, I'm new to this world as much as Nona so I'm in it for the sense of discovery just like the character. Show me and Nona cool things about the universe, like unique places and such.[/INDENT] [b]History:[/b] [INDENT]Nona doesn't know it, but Nona's father was a joke of a pirate. He wasn't well respected or accomplished. Eventually, this will catch up to Nona as I'm sure there are some pirates out there that know of Nona's father and perhaps know what ever became of him.
