Camilla awoke from her uncertain dreams to a shattering headache. Moonlight streamed in through the window and it stung her eyes as though it were bright sunlight. Hesitantly she lifted a hand to shield herself from the silvery light. There was a slight smell in her nostrils, something like sandal wood or that strange incense that the Arabyian's used and her mouth was very dry. The moon was beginning to set and it had to be only an hour or so from the first predawn brightening of the sky. She spotted Cydric's form across the doorway and it took her a moment to realize that he hadn't been there when she went to sleep. Stumbling out of bed she searched for something to drink to moisten her mouth and found only a decanter of wine on the beside table. She pulled the cork from the green glass bottle and drank. It was sour and sharp but it was wet and she felt better immediately. She realized she was hungry too but there was no way to get through the door without waking Cydric. Instead she crept over to him and tried to open the pouch he kept that vile jerky in. The sergeant started awake violently and Camilla recoiled slightly in embarrassment. "Sorry, sorry," she said holding her palms up to indicate there was no danger, "Just hungry, I had the strangest dreams." Cydric was still a little wide eyed and she hoped she wondered if he too had been dreaming unquiet dreams. Deftly she reached into his pouch and withdrew a stick of the jerky before popping it into her mouth and chewing with the determination of a hand gunner trying to reload his arquebus. [@POOHEAD189]
