Luci uses Latin because that's what he was taught to read along with 'common' (English in our case) for the sake of the beaten-to-hell bible he learned from.
Because a drifting priest threw it at him in self defense and Luci wanted to be nice and return it. (in the CS, kinda)

I try not to use 'made up' languages because anyone with the patience to enter text into google translate should be rewarded.
