Races: hylians, shiekah, Zora, gorons, Gerudo, Rito (Botw style), kokori, clockworkers (fan made race), kitsune (look it up. It's not a Zelda thing but it exists), and maybe one other that I'm forgetting.

Admirably that makes more sense. Personally the blood of the heroes thing was not meant to be thought about too much (and I never said you had to be blonde or a guy) it was mostly an excuse to get the characters involved in the plot.
