His shirt was open as per normal revealing his solidly built body and the cross with wings that he always wore. His eyes looking straight ahead as he walked disregarding the people he passed. He had one mission in mind, and one mission only. He made his way to the park crossing a scene where apparently a woman had tried to kill herself by jumping of a ten-story building. It did little to even raise an inkling of curiosity out of him and he continued walking past them. ‘the lives these short lives lead is beyond mundane’ he thought to himself not even caring to find if anyone had been hurt. This was one of his free moments and he wasn’t going to waste it concerned about someone that would be dead and gone all too soon. Rounding the corner, the events already fading from his mind. Picking up his pace he let the tone of his feet falling on the pavement become a kind of music to tune out everything. The rain was a minor annoyance to him as it caused the scars on his back to ache just a little, enough to make him roll his shoulders to relieve the annoyance. ‘Teach you to stand against God.’ He thought to himself as he finally reached the border of central park, the air thick with damp leaves and other such natural scents. It reminded him of a time back in the first garden this planet had known. Eden, it was nice, and he cared about these short lived back then. He approached his favourite part of the park throwing himself on the ground. The wet grass immediately soaking his shirt and the rain doing a better job at soaking him through than a sprinkler on full. His eyes scanned the cloud cover as he let his mind wander over the past and the thoughts of his future. ‘such is the life of an angel cast to earth’ he thought to himself with a sardonic smile, the rolling lightning spreading through the clouds casting a glow that reminded him of the earliest bioluminescent lights the ocean threw across the early beaches. ‘you still find ways to show me that your world is perfect don’t you’ he thought his hand slowly running up his body towards the cross around his neck. At his point, the mobile phone in his pocket began to vibrate against his leg. He reached into his pocket pulling it out and sliding the touch screen to answer. “Speak” he said his tone devoid of emotions and filled with authority. “The Cross demands you investigate strange happenings in town, An f5 Tornado formed up and then vanished almost immediately causing some damage to an upper class Apartment building, No known casualties, though the incident would have been exactly the same as the one 20 years ago should it not have been stopped mysteriously. Priority Alpha.” A voice responded from the receiver. “confirmed” Zephyr said standing and accessing a tracking map on his mobile which showed he had passed the location earlier. He rolled his eyes heading back in that direction. It would be another half hour later he would be standing back at the entrance to the apartment looking up at the damage. ‘interesting, looks like it was controlled to this building alone, magic essence is strong in the air, seems to be dark magic.’ He though sniffing the air and allowing his natural senses to determine what the types of magics were involved. He scanned around the area looking for any strong senses of evil that would have the magic levels to do this.
