[@Zeroth] Good questions, and I'm glad you asked them. This RP will be taking place in the Monster Hunter world. However, due to said continent shifting, you will be able to see a whole different range of what that world has to offer.

The monsters from the games are technically present, but they will probably not be the ones you are hunting. Those will be player-made. However, feel free to have some of your starting weaponry be made from some of the past monsters, just no Lagiacrus armor sets or what have you.

Finally, concerning the plot, I was thinking that character interactions in battle would be somewhat of a driving force in the game, but you have a point. We could incorporate the feeling and use of exploration to sort of pad-out time between battles and add a little bit more meat to the plot. Perhaps the players have to clear out monster-dwelling areas in order to help others set up villages there, and then hunt monsters that particularly attack those villages afterwards? I'll definitely take it into consideration, and I'll probably ask for some plot ideas you guys like in the OOC.
