The Fungal Knight vs The Blood Devil
Round 3 (Banana's Version)
Saria rose, angered at the trickery that Bonesword had managed to pull off. His vines were more than just some power, it seemed, they acted more or less like an extension of his own arms. Speaking of arms, Saria's right arm burned from the sword that was now resting inside it. After she stood back up, watching as her skeletal opponent winced from a clearly irreparable arm below her, Saria took her free arm and grabbed ahold of the cutlass currently in her shoulder and she yanked it out with one strong pull. The blade of the cutlass that had been embedded inside of Saria was stained a dark shade of red from her blood, and she threw the cutlass to the side as she lifted her sword from off of the ground. It had fallen from her hand in the sudden spike of pain caused by the appearance of that damn cutlass. Hopefully it wouldn't make a comeback in this fight, or at the very least, it shouldn't return, as Saria threw it as far as she could muster in her current state. "Nice trick you got there, but it looks like you're down on your sword arm!" Saria was feeling more confident now that she saw her opponent having some form of weakness, and that would hopefully be the sort of thing that could carry her to her victory. It was either that, or the fact that there was a steady flow of blood trickling down from her arm onto the Red Blade, powering it up even more than it was before. As Saria rushed forward to attack Bonesword with her blade, her opponent moved in a respectable form to catch the attack with his Shroomblade before it could connect, blocking the attack and causing Saria to stagger backwards in front of him. How was he still so fluent in his actions? His arm was both removed and cracked, it didn't make any sense! Saria went back in for another hit on the skeleton, this time making sure the hit on him was stronger than the last, but as the skeleton blocked the attack yet again, Saria noticed something she wish she had seen before. Bonesword had a third sword strapped on his back. Why? Why would a swordsman need three different swords to get his point across? There was the possibility that he just used these as ammo, but that wouldn't be sensible considering it looked so... so ornate. He could be able to use two swords at once, which would mean that... was he really just as skilled in his left arm as he was in his right? Saria backed up before going into a defensive stance, using it as a method to ask her opponent a question that she needed to know the answer too. "Fungal Knight, are you a master of dual-wielding as well?" Bonesword calmly nodded as he kept a tight grip on his Shroomblade. He saw the sheer amount of blood fall down onto the ground due to the wound in Saria's shoulder, and he knew that she couldn't last long. That being said, she didn't show it, especially since her attacks would soon knock him clean off his feet if he wasn't careful. He kept a sharp eye on his opponent as she returned to her offensive stance, speaking as she did so. "Ah. Well met, but I came to win, and you will not stop me." Saria said as she stomped on the cracked arm of Bonesword. She saw her opponent flinch as his arm was semi-reduced into a pile of dust, and she took the opportunity to run up and deliver a strong jab to her opponent, knocking him off of his feet and onto the sandy ground. As she saw her opponent stumble, Saria returned to the now-broken arm and lifted it out of a pile of dust, holding it in her free hand as she watched Bonesword struggle to stand back up. Bonesword could still feel the heat of Saria's hand clench his lost arm, despite it being muffled slightly, but he could definitely feel the pain of Saria slowly crushing his arm into bone meal. It was agonizing, to say the least, but the skeleton struggled through the pain as his old arm was reduced to nothing, and he watched as his opponent walked over to him and raised her sword in the air, preparing to bring it down onto the skeleton in order to end his afterlife. "I'll give you a proper funeral after I crack your skull." With one quick drop of the Red Blade, the Blood Devil would be surprised to find that she missed Bonesword's skull, but collided her blade against his torso and sent him back into the dirt, which left him with a few bruised ribs and his life still intact. Saria was surprised that she missed him, but she was less surprised and more concerned when she began to have a bit of a harder time seeing straight. The poison was taking a lot out of her, but she refused to think about it in the current moment, as she could deal with that as soon as she was done with her opponent. For the time being, she had to take Bonesword down before he got back up on his feet. When Saria brought the blade back up for another swing, she saw that her opponent was back on his feet and preparing for a jab, which he successfully pulled off with the Shroomblade. The jab managed to pierce through Saria's armor once again, causing even more blood to trickle out of her armor right around where her stomach was. It had to be hot in there for her, too, which probably kept her a bit... weaker than Bonesword originally thought. In any case, she looked like she was just as tired as he was, probably even more. He watched his opponent as she shook her head quicky, placing her free hand over her new wound, and he listened to her speak while she did so. "You're tough, but what you're doing will eventually be your undoing." Saria smiled as she prepared for another strike, running up to the skeleton and dishing out a nasty collision on his armor, right where his left shoulder was. The blow was strong enough to break the metal plate, decorating it with an unsightly crack in the armor, but it didn't hurt the arm underneath, surprisingly. If another hit was there, however, it would definitely compromise Bonesword's chances, especially considering it was his only other arm. While Saria was close, she decided to send another attack towards Bonesword's armor, causing a large dent in his left side to appear, even going so far as to show that the dent went inwards. If the skeleton had any organs, they would be definitely hurt by the angled piece of metal now in his frame. Despite the broken state of his armor, Bonesword was still happy to continue this fight until it's end, especially against a combatant that was just as dedicated to the sword as he was, maybe even more. Alas, he wasn't going to let it end here. As soon as Saria tried delivering yet another brutal strike to the skeleton, Bonesword brought his Shroomblade back up in a hasty motion, causing the two blades to clash against eachother once again. The battle between energies, with the Red Blade being strengthened by the abundance of Saria's blood on the blade and the Shroomblade having a potency against the demonic nature of the Red Blade, caused the air around Bonesword and Saria to become... energized. Both of the blades vibrated as the two swordfighters exchanged strikes, each fighter aiming for superiority over the other. After every slash came immediately a deflect, and after every jab came a parry. To the two swordsmen, the world around them was a hazy blur as each fighter's focus was on the other. The world would remain this way until luck was put in Saria's favor, allowing her to land a severe blow where the large dent on Bonesword's armor rested, causing the armor to fracture and drop to the ground with a loud clank. What was once in place of the armor had now shown a slightly-faded aubergine shirt, marked with it's fair share of patches. "That's not good." Bonesword backpedaled away from Saria, trying to maintain some distance between the two. If she jabbed her sword in the right spot, this fight would be effectively over due to a shattered spine. However, with the way that the armor cracked, it wouldn't allow for a slash to break through, at least not for a few more hits. Right now, the distance between Saria and Bonesword was critical, as it kept her far enough away that she couldn't do much to him. Saria, on the other hand, lifted Bonesword's armor out of the dirt and held it up towards him. "Your defense is failing when met by my offense. It's only a matter of time before this fight is settled." After she finished her taunt, she tossed the armor aside like it was no more than tissue paper, landing it in the bush beside her.
