Over a long enough timeline, everything human trends towards tribalism. Feminism has gotten there. So has a whole bunch of other shit -- I too am Christian, and I fully acknowledge that we're guilty of tribalism in spades (we even do it to one another via denominations). Politics is tribal. 

Historically speaking, the only force that ever really beat back tribalism, was nationalism. Damn. If only there were some kind of nationalist uprising we could summon up.
